Hurrah! I have been stalking this on eBay for a couple of years as the vendor (a reputable dealer/company) kept listing it as it failed to reach a price he was happy with and that price was too high for me to take the plunge, the problem almost certainly being the fact that it is a tiny size and not resizable: Europe 46. I am happy with the price I paid although the timing isn't the best as this is proving to be an expensive year (wedding in June), however my convenient reasoning is that I could wait 10 years and not see a ring like this in my tiny size come up, and it would be over £8,000 new.

I have the original Cartier paperwork showing it was purchased in 2007. The photos don't do it justice, the sparkle is extraordinary and it throws off all the colours of the rainbow. The diamonds are E/F colour and it has a 950 Platinum hallmark in addition to the Cartier mark.

I wanted it to wear with my rhr which was my mother's and paternal grandmother's engagement ring. I think it works perfectly as at 3mm wide and 2 mm deep, it doesn't compete but nor does it get lost. That bright sparkly band really sets of the dark untreated sapphire. I also love it on it's own but probably won't really get to wear it like that as I wear my engagement ring and mother's ring every day.

I have also photographed it with my engagement ring, but as I thought, I think it detracts from the solitaire. I prefer my plain to-be wedding band on that hand, and I'm hoping that at some point in the future, I may get the matching De Beers 2mm diamond eternity band to give me the option of switching it up. I've tried it on in the store and it looks good, - although I do love the plain set on its own perhaps best.

Rambling a bit as I am very excited to share. I don't habitually buy myself expensive jewellery, I feel a bit funny about it but I am delighted.

3 more - without the heirloom ring. Sorry they are a bit blurry.

Spectacular find. It also looks perfect with the engagement ring, though maybe that's because everyone's wearing big eternity bands. Doesn't outshine the Ering at all.

Congratulations on a wonderful find! I don't think it outshines either of your rings - maybe it's just a question of getting used to wearing another ring next to them? In any event, the great thing about eternity bands is that you can stack them or wear them as stand-alone rings.

I love your heirloom ring, by the way!

Love it - does not distract from either ring - classy!

I love it too! It has a beautiful presence on!

Its lovely and quite a nice addition to your jewelry wardrobe!

Ditto - it's perfect & looks fabulous with both rings! I am slightly more in favour of it with the inherited sapphire ring though, as the pop of colour from that central stone distinguishes the two rings & gives them more identity. As much as I ADORE wearing my eternity ring with my plain band & solitaire, I find myself wearing the eternity alone on my RH more lately, so that the solitaire can be the star of the wedding set.

You could honestly wear this on either hand though - it's just beautiful. And its Cartier! Enjoy wearing it :appl:

What a great find Zizzy! It looks gorgeous on its own and with your e-ring, but it is especially pretty next to your lovely and special three stone heirloom ring.

Great find! It looks lovely with both of your rings. Congrats!

Wow, it is just stunning and holds its own.

Gorgeous. I have a very soft spot in my heart for Cartier. Lucky girl! It looks amazing on your hand with or without the other rings.

Thank you for your kind comments Ladies. I'm really enjoying my new treasure.

Missy: I have a soft spot for Cartier too, of all the jewellers it has a particular glamour, mystique and allure. Being French is part of it; the association with the Duke and Duchess of Windsor; certain iconic designs; and the best damn boxes in the business. If they were perfumes, for me, Tiffany would be a floral with elegant circus notes whereas Cartier would have darker, headier scents of sandalwood, ylang ylang and musk. A Cartier Love Bracelet us on my wish list for the future (I would want to buy that new though). I have a stainless steel Tanque Francaise which I love and wear every day. My every day necklace and bracelet have to be strong as my daughter will grab at them and a fine chain would break. I have the thick Tiffany silver charm bracelet and necklace which work really well for me. Any other suggestions would be very welcome. I don't wear yellow or rose gold as my skin looks like corned beef with it!

Fabulous ring Zizzy!!! :appl: :appl: :appl:
Slightly used Cartier at an Ebay discount is just about my favorite bling!!
It's a beautiful ring.. substantial enough to wear on it's own but perfect to pair with an ER as well.
What an absolute find in your size.. Congrats. Enjoy!!!!! :wavey: :wavey: :wavey:

Well done on such a fab find! It truly is a beautiful ring and works so well with both rings in my opinion

I love your descriptions and comparisons Zizzy. I love my Cartier Tank as well and in fact that is the only "new" Cartier possession of mine. We bought it in Milan at the Cartier store in 2004. For all the rest I prefer "vintage" Cartier though I am sure I could be swayed if the price was right re new purchases lol. Otherwise I am happy with vintage. And I hear you on the yellow and rose gold. I don't care for the way it looks with my skin tone either. LOL your descriptions are quite effective in painting the proverbial picture.

Back to your gorgeous Cartier ring. Would love if you could post more pics for us. It is such a beautiful piece. Truly.

Here is some more beautiful Cartier that is swoon worthy....just got this in my inbox this morning so it is very timely.

Oh, wow - such a beauty!

HI:

Great find. I love Cartier--I'd buy their paper bags if they sold them!

Zizzy, I was wondering if you’d be willing to share the eBay vendor? I’m looking for a similar band.

Thank you!
