Hi ladies,

I''ve taken more pictures of my e-ring. I know...I should get a life ;)

Here''s my old thread: e-ring

Here it is with fire:

Have you picked out a wedding band yet?

Thanks. Love in Bloom!
It took me ages to learn how to take diamond pics.
I''m really procrastinating on the w-band because I can''t think of anything that''ll match this baby!
Nothing will sit flush

Here''s a mirror pic. This is so fun!

If I had a ring like yours, I would probably get two curved eternity bands and wear them on either side. Here is a pic of Sbee's wedding set . It has a shape similar to yours, and she has a matching wedding band. Maybe you could get a band replicated to hug your ering like hers does:

I know..Sbee''s set is so pretty. But I actually like the look of her e-ring alone a lot too.
I don''t know, it''s like...I like my e-ring so much right now, I can''t bear to get something else to compete with it.

Is that ridiculous?

I tried a plain band with it looked..horrid. I told my fiance it doesn''t match at all and I think it blocks the light. He said I was mad.

I should see a custom jeweller about this. Ok...I''ll do that once this love affair with my e-ring fades a bit. (I don''t think it''ll ever fade completely

Thanks for posting Sbee''s set..Love in Bloom. It''s one of those beautiful sets that shows how design can be more important than bling.

Well gee, I hope your love for your ering doesn''t fade at all! It is gorgeous. Ya know, if you can''t envision ever wearing anything else with your ering, you could absolutely get away with wearing it by itself. Your setting kind of looks like two bands intertwined anyway. If anyone asks if you have a wb, just say look closer...it''s already there!

Ooooh, you got some great shots!!

I just LOVE that ring. Gorgeous.

WOW! Those pictures are amazing (along with your ring of course!) How did you get such good pictures??

Hi Stephanie,

It''s a lot of practice..my pics in the old thread were not as good.

First, I need brilliant sunlight.
Then, I set the camera on macro mode. After I manage to take a focused picture, I edit the pictures by cropping them with Microsoft Paint. If they''re still too big, I minimise them. You can use Microsoft Picture Manager for that or get a free download of Google Picasa. Picasa also has some cool functions like it can sharpen your picture (I did that with the mirror shot) or give it a glow.

I agree that your lovely ring doesn''t need a separate wedding band. Just say the ring is a combo wedding/engagement ring after you are married.

I suggest getting a plain metal wedding band (possibly matching his, if you like) to wear those times when you can''t wear this beauty. (You know, when cleaning, gardening, going to the gym, etc.)

Congratulations!

Oh! We share the same crazy obsession! I took WAY more pics than you did. We shud get together some time and play with my new camera...

HI:

MM good! Great pics!

cheers--Sharon

Have you thought of letting your e-ring be a stand-alone ring to be worn on ur right hand after the wedding? Tt way, you can get a w-band tt matches ur hubby''s.

I like those twisted style bands...Dont know if it would be comfy on me but I like the way they look alot! Can you take somemore photos but not so close up? Like on the hand or flower shots? Thanks!

I understand what you''re saying about wanting a wband that doesn''t compete with your ering. I tried to go with plain plat band but it looked awful too. I think you should go back to the jeweler or manufacturer who made your ering and see what they offer/can do to match your wband to your ering.

I like that set shown above too, but I always wonder about the curved wband thing. A friend has one, and when she wears it alone it looks silly with the curve there. Another consideration is if you DID get two bands, one for each side, it can really change the appearance of your ering. I know I tried another eternity band on recently, on the other side of my ering, and it made the ering look like a big cocktail sort of ring with the additional band. With my one wband eternity ring, it just compliments the ering perfectly. But add another one and it looks totally different. You just have to play around with options in person to see what looks best.

Enjoy!

Lovely, just lovely. I also read your other thread on your bridal jewelry & you have such beautiful pieces!

Great pics, Corseted! I love your ring, that setting is really beautiful, and your diamond is fabulous!

your ring!!!! The diamond is stunning. Great pics, could look at them all day, hehe.

I love that style of setting - with the twisted look - very beautiful and a wonderful complement to that gorgeous stone!

Corsetted,
I actually have that ring that you have but mine is from Tacori.
I was in the same boat as you, band or no band?
Sufgirl,
This is what I''ve decided to do.
I''m going to be purchasing two identical wedding bands from tacori
these are the ones that match my ring

Here is a photo of me at the jewelry store trying on Ering and matching band. now, just imagine another band on the other side.
Maybe Irina can do some photo shopping :)

Just beautiful!

Hi gladyskristen: Wow..that''s a powerful camera. Yes...let''s get together and play! That''s probably why you can capture such pretty fire. Mine''s an ultracompact. I went into the shop and asked for the smallest camera with the biggest LCD screen. I call it my bimbo camera, for detailing my conspicuous consumption.

The fiance complains that I''ve taken way more shots of the ring instead of him. I beam and say that I could never capture his livin'' breathin'' cuteness

Mommabear: I modelled my ring on Tacori''s and got a local jeweller to replicate it. No Tacori, here in S''pore. So mine''s a little different. My jeweller is a very practical man, so 6-prongs insted of 4 and my ring lies flat unlike yours'' which is so beautifully 3-D because of your two layers, because he wants to minimise cleaning time.

I think your bead set eternity band looks great. That would be an option I would explore. Tacori had another curved wband that laid flush against the ring but it looks a tad too complicated for me. Thanks for posting pics!

Hi Surfgirl....You can visit my old thread for more faraway shots here

I''ll try to get my hands on some flowers.it''s time to attempt the flower shot

In the mean time...some handshots
