Hi Everyone

I have been a lurker for a while (just love looking at all the gorgeous jewelery on here) and finally decided to introduce myself and my modest ring collection.

I have been married for 3 years and just recently completed my wedding set upgrade

I''ll start with my original set

18kt white gold sapphire and diamond cluster (not sure of specs but the sapphire is possibly 0.40ct?). I picked this before I knew anything about diamonds and thought it was pretty - I wear it as a RHR now

18kt white gold channel set round brilliant half eternity. These diamonds as you can see are low quality and it was the cheapest way I could have a diamond wedding band, both rings need to be rhodium plated so they are a bit dingy.

And this is my upgrade!

18kt white gold vintage trilogy (bargain find on eBay)

OMC diamonds in original bezel setting (1960''s)
center stone 0.50ct, side stones 0.25ct
clarity SI1
colour H-G

18kt white gold channel set baguette cut half eternity ring (another bargain, this time from Dover jewelery)
0.85cttw
clarity VS
colour H-G

I think that is such a lovely shade of blue!

How I wore my rings before I got my new wedding band

18kt white gold band with 0.09ct VVS round brilliants

plus my original wedding band (you can really see the colour difference between the stones here)

Thank you! I have large fingers (size 8) but it has great finger coverage - here are some more pics - i love the chunky facets!

They are both very sparkly! It has been really sunny here in the UK so a great excuse for a diamond photo shoot!

This is my great grandmother''s ring. Its 18kt rose gold set with a synthetic Alexandrite (I think!?) It is a very bluey green normally and purple/pink in some lights. It is too large and too flawless to be genuine and I read somewhere that during the 40''s 50''s it was common to see these. I love the setting and the size - Its just the right size for my big fingers (ahh to have a diamond solitaire that size would be perfect....i can dream i guess!)

Ah you''re in the UK! My friend (in London) has a very similar ring which I also love - hers is an antique passed down from her grandmother-in-law. Not sure where you are based but do you even go wandering round Grays Antiques Market or Burlington Arcade? I love it there - it''s a treasure trove.

I''m from Oxford (only 40mins on the train from London) - I haven''t been to either of those but will definitely have a look for them the next time I''m there. I''m a sucker for antique jewelery...shame its such an expensive hobby!

Welcome, and you have lovely pieces! I like your diamond three-stone especially - such a unique design
