This is my first post on Price Scope.

Just got married in Paris 35 days ago, and everything was superb. :appl:

Coming back from honeymoon, my jeweler told me my new diamond ring was finished  Here it is - a 2.356ct, M colour, SI 1, AGS 000.

Ashley at Solomon Brothers sourced it for me. Yes, it's an M. But I love the rich and vibrant colour. My engagement ring is a 1.73ct K, and after wearing it for a year, I was convinced that I could go down to M.

Under most light, it faces up white - soft, creamy, ivory... whatever you would like to call it. And as it is AGS 000, it sparkles amazingly. I hope we can get more sun in London, so that I can take nicer pictures for my rings under the sun :rodent:

Thank you! I was reading your yellow diamond pear ring before I posted mine actually - your ring is sooooo yummy and elegant

Wedding was end of Dec, just a few days before new year. Winter in Paris is cold. But we were happy! In France everyone need to have the wedding in Mairie (town hall) if you want to be legally married (although some people choose to go to church or a special venue on another day after the wedding in Mairie). We went to Mairie early afternoon, and then picture shooting, and then reception and party. To be honest I don't think wedding in Paris is as romantic as everyone thinks :snore: maybe it's the mandatory Mairie part, and we didn't organise another one at church or anywhere special. But anyway, we got married and we are happy!

Merci!!! I read a few of your posts and love your rings a lot as well

It is a lovely stone! Do you plan on keeping it as a solitaire? Will it be a right hand ring? It definitely has a commanding presence!

Beautiful diamond!! Wow!! and both of them look perfect on your lovely hand!! Is this one a replacement for the ering? or will it be a RHR or will it be changed to a 3 stone??

Do tell!!

And congratulations on your wedding!!

Thanks everyone! I have to say that I wouldn't dare to go down to M if I haven't spent time on Price Scope, and the truth is that, no one will check my diamond with a loupe or compare its colour against a white background - it is about the 'effect' - big, bright and sparkling :cheeky:

It's not a RHR as I am wearing either my K or M on my ring finger at the moment - I wear the bigger M this week, because I am working with junior colleagues and I feel comfortable wearing a bigger stone; but sometimes if I know I'm going to meet ladies whose job titles are above me, I wear the smaller K, or sometimes I only wear my plain wedding band without the diamond ring if I need to be on a 'humble' position, like tendering a service to the client. Maybe I think too much.

I actually want to have a trilogy ring after we have our first child  I always think the three stones represent my husband, my kid, and me  haha. At the moment I am thinking of a round centre stone, and two pear shape side stones - it makes me think of a flower :cheeky:

Wow, it's beautiful! Looks very white too.

Thanks for sharing, I always wondered about the comfort level of wearing larger diamonds around certain people (or in certain situations). Both of your rings are lovely though and I like your idea of having a 3 ring stone made in the future!

Its a lovely stone! Sounds like you have been having a lovely time too! Congratulations!!!

Both of your rings are gorgeous!

Ur ring is absolutly gorgeous!!!!!!

Beautiful! I agree that I love the lower colored diamonds. M/N/O/P is sort of my sweet spot personally.

For reference what size ring are you?

I'm a size 4 3/4 to size 5 (UK size J to J 1/2)

I was amazed at how my M colour returned colour and light last week at Waterloo train station - it looked most beautiful at that station :wink2: The station was covered by half transparent roof.

The diamond looked so bright, and I really love the colour and light flowing through the facets.

It is so stunning!! :appl: :appl: :appl: Everything is new, congrats on the new item!! ;) ;)

What a beautiful ring!!! I see that you chose a white setting--could you show us a profile picture of it, one that gives us a sense of the M color contrasting with the white? I, too, want to boldly go there with an M, and I need the confidence to do it. :)

your ring is a stunner!!!

Beautiful!

Look how white it looks in those last few photos you posted too!

Maybe I missed it, but what are you planning to do with your K colored diamond?

Lucky you! Congrats on your rings and on your wedding!!!!

I'm confused.. Did you just get the m colored diamond in Feb? Are you selling it now? I thought I saw a post in preloved section..

Yeah, I know. I got the diamond in December and set it on a ring in Jan... but I am hooked to old cut diamonds now and can't afford to have two new rings, so decide to sell this one to fund the new purchase.
