Hi shopping folks,
I have obtained two new pairs of delightful, scrumptious, too cute shoes -
I know I know, this thread is worthless without pics! I promise some asap - I checked online at Chloe and
Ted Baker (the respective designers), but the images of my specific shoes were not there

It is night time here and I''m exhausted, so if folks are keen I will take pics on the w''end of my new lovelies

I do have one important question though of my fellow PS''ers who are in the know - how do you care for patent leather??

Both pairs are 100% calf leather (outer, soles, inner) - usually when I have normal leather products I
use a protectant cream and spray, than follow up with a buff and polish after every couple wears. But I don''t believe this type of treatment works onto patent leather? I think I tried it once with a cream on my pair of Marc Jocobs, and it seemed to be making the leather look worse, so I just aborted.

So, does anyone have some tips on how to protect from stains and scratches etc on patent leather shoes? any experience or thought much appreciated! ..
and than maybe I can reward with photos....

lol

cheers in advance!
AJ.

Oh my goodness!! I have zero advice for you, but I''m dying to see your new shoes. They sound DELISH!

Thanks Karma!

I use spray furniture polish

but you could probably find a special cleaner or protectant for patent leather from a specialist store Bruddah.

I have patent leather bags and one pair of shoes. They are very easily maintained, just damp cloth and mild soap is all... Avoid using any leather cleaner not recommended.

ETA: sorry not just any leather cleaner, there are some mild ones out there, but i'm too chicken to use any.

Thanks again bruddah and thankyou D&T -
so D&T you don''t use a spray or anything to protect them when they''re new?

Incase you''re wondering, I''ve had plenty of patent stuff before, just not this nice, so I''ve never bothered in the past..

I''m surprised more shopping posters aren''t interested in photos!

Maybe they''re like me..not that into shoes! I''ve never heard of shoes described as "yummy" before, which is why I checked out the thread..thinking maybe they were made of candy or chocolate!

Quite disappointed now!
Chocolate shoes..I might be onto something. There has to be husbands out there, wanting to buy their wives a great pair of chocolate stilletos for the bedroom!

oooh do post pics... I love shoes and bags, although I just redirected my bags and shoes fund into my bling addiction for the time being. however, I can''t remember this stuff, i never bought it though it was a spray to help bring out the shine, as over time the patent (shiny stuff) starts to become dull or wear away dirt/debris isnt'' removed...

Mr Sheen works for me hun :-)
