Hello all!

As per the title, I'm new. So Hi!

I figured a good introduction should be followed by pictures (it's more interesting, right??) :)

Anyway, I have a 1.11 L Colored Cushion engagement ring. Still looking for bands -- not exactly easy, let me tell you. I'd say it's about as easy as taking a respectable pic of my very camera shy diamonds. haha.

I also have a 1.02ct three stone necklace made of my mother's diamonds. Center stone is a .52 K SI2 and the two side stones are SI2 and VS2 I .25

Sorry about the crappy pictures. Maybe I'll try to take some more if you guys are interested.

Welcome Kristin and thanks for sharing your lovely pieces!

Welcome to PS Kristen! Your bling is beautiful and you're right - the more pictures the better! :naughty:

Welcome! Your pictures are lovely, can you show us more? We can never get too much bling around here... ;)

welcome, love your sparklies!

Wow. I love that cushion! Let's see about a TON more pics!

Welcome! Your engagement ring is just lovely - a total classic

Wouldn't mind more pics of your necklace if you feel so inclined ::)

Lovely necklace and beautiful cushion too -- it looks very white! Where is it from?

wow... that L diamond is pretty white!

Welcome! :wavey:
Nice nice stuff!

Your collection is beautiful. I love that your necklace was made from diamonds your mom owned, it makes it extra special.
Your cushion is lovely as well. I would love to see more pics of both as well.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes!!! 8)

We purchased the diamond from Lumeradiamonds.com a local company in Saint Louis -- we bought it loose and had it set at a local jeweler.

I am very happy with the overall color of my cushion, I'll agree that it is fairly "white" compared to other L colors that I've come across but when it's sitting next to my necklace you can definitely see the warmth. I guess the best way to explain it, is it looks white at its whitest and an ivory at its warmest. I absolutely love it (I'm more partial to warm colors in general). Are there many other L color owners floating around?

I'll try to post more pictures tonight.

:wavey: Welcome from another L cushion e-ring owner!! :wavey: But *please* we would looove more pics!! :cheeky:

lovely! ditto on more pics...

Maybe it's just the lighting in the photo, but is that a yellow gold ring? Diggin' it.

beautiful pictures-thanks for sharing! and welcome :wavey:

it's actually white gold.

Here are a few more pictures of both the ring and the necklace. I'll try to get some daylight pictures over the weekend that will hopefully better show color (maybe). You can definitely see the K & I difference in the necklace

you guys are just too kind!

Welcome Kristen! Love your sparklies! How cool that you have your mothers diamond in a necklace! And your cushion ering is to die for! I was surprised to hear it is an L color! It is so WHITE!

aww thanks!

it's actually all three of her diamonds. the middle is from her engagement ring and the two side stones are from a pair of earrings she had.

I never really knew her -- she passed away when I was a toddler. So even though the colors don't match (which, your typical observer wouldn't be able to tell the difference) - the sentimental value just means so much to me. My father gave them to me about a month ago, after I got engaged. I sat on it for a little while trying to figure out what I wanted to do with it and finally decided a necklace was simple and perfect for a memorial piece.

We toyed with the idea of incorporating the earrings (or finding a match to the engagement ring) into my engagement ring -- but I ultimately just didn't look right no matter which way we went.
