Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson''s divorce is final as of today reports people.com. I can''t help but feel sad about the situation!

I must admit that I was a HUGE Jessica fan before and during her marriage. I still am a fan of hers, but not as strong of one since some things have surfaced etc...

Am I the only one who is a little sad about their situation?! Just wondering...ya''ll may not care at all...

i was kinda sad back when it happened but so much time has passed, i'm over it....also i think she doesn't deserve a man like him. she's a shallow, spoiled child who wasn't ready for marriage, she's too busy living it up in the limelight. he deserves better. i've said this in other threads...anyway i hope he can find a real woman who doesn't get bored and want to sow her wild oats in the middle of the marriage! bah.

i read in my US weekly or on one of the gossip sites that they asked a judge to just grant the divorce ASAP, but that they have not started the haggling over who gets what. i guess there is a way to make the actual divorce final but set aside that you still have to work out all the money stuff. sounds like fun, not!!

i loved watching newlyweds but the first year was the best when they seemed to still be on the same page. after that it was just like watching a relationship unravel. sad.

I used to like her but not so much anymore. Much has happened to make me feel this way. Nick I like a lot and wish him only the best going forward. He seems to be a good guy. I think he was a saint putting up with her antics. Yes I do know she was young etc.. But I'm team Lachey, all the way.

i was a little sad initially..but i just think that fame got to her head..

i always thought jessica had perfect teeth, but did anyone see her intreview with Ryan Seacrest (sp??) recently??? she had this gap in her front two teeth and they just looked odd to me....she looked horrible actually..wondering wat happened there!

I was a HUGE Jessica and Nick fan (I will admit, only on this forums, that I even bought some of her stuff for sale like the wedding book, her body care line!)...but when she basically "left" him, I started to change my view of her. She was a spoiled, lazy girl to begin with, now she is just a fake Hollywood girl. He deserves much better.

Anyway, yes, I was sad today when I read the news!

That news made me sad, too. Watching Newlyweds was a rollercoaster ride. But I truly believed their love was special -- they still had that magic "first love" between them.

I have no idea why Jessica would leave Nick. She seems to love him, but maybe she's confused again. No one will ever measure up in any way. When she's older, she'll realize that.

I feel like he truly loved her -- in sickness and health, poor or rich. The guys she may end up dating will only love her for her beauty, fame and riches -- all of which are fleeting things. It's funny, when I think of my DH -- I'm reminded of Nick and how good he was to Jessica. Her happiness meant more to him than his own and he loved her in a totally unselfish way. It's really sad.

I think the last time I felt sad about a divorce was Tom and Nicole's. But then again, that was before Tom went nuts on Oprah and started spouting off on things he has NO IDEA about -- like postpartum depression. Geez. I can't even watch his movies anymore because it makes me so mad. I can't imagine being married to someone so lacking in empathy.

I was very sad to see this marriage end, I thought they had such a sweet beginning and a relationship that seemed to truly be built on love.

Gee, for a girl who was so proud that she saved her virginity for her husband bc she thought marriage was so special, she certainly didn''t stick around very long.

Very sad, but I am very glad to see that Nick will get a chance to find someone else that will love him back as much as he loves her. Hopefully he doesn''t spend too much time playing the field now and painting a womanizer picture for himself. He really seems like a decent guy.

I find it really sad too-they seemed to be so in love at one stage. She will never find someone like him again and unfortunately she will probably find that out the hard way

I know, the last time I was pretty sad about a celeb breakup was Tom and Nicole because they always seemed so ''normal'' in that set, with their kids, 10 year marriage, home life etc... but yes that was before he got SO WACKO. I wonder if she ever looks at him and goes ''who are you?!?!'' ... so odd.

I loved watching N&J because I really did feel like he would love her regardless...he obviously adored her any time of the day. But she seemed kind of fickle and then as time wore on, fame totally went to her head. I agree she will not find anyone who loves her the way he did. But que sera sera!!

I have a feeling that Jessica will realize AFTER Nick is happily dating/married to another woman AND IT IS TOO LATE that she had the best guy she ever could have had.
