Anyone own a pair of these? I just saw a commercial about them last night and then again a few minutes ago, so I looked at the website and they look awesome! I would love to have a pair of ipod compatible shoes, so cool. Just thought I''d post here and see if anyone has experience with them, I need a new pair of running shoes to walk and jog in and these look so fun, plus I''d probably use my ipod more!

My friend has a pair and LOVES them. It tells her how far she has run and how many cals she has burned.

Yup, that''s the Ipod system, Skippy. It looks like there are a few different styles that are compatible with this, including the Air Zoom and Shox. I love the Shox because they come in a dark grey with pink accents and I love grey shoes so much better than white, I think they make my big tootsies look a little less huge. LOL!

Tacori, has your friend commented on how long she''s had hers? Just wondering if she made any specific comments as far as what she likes or maybe dislikes about them...thanks!

I know she got them for x-mas. I can ask her something specific if you want.

Monnie,

Funny you should ask...I just wore THESE for the first time today. (had them for 2 weeks) They are the dreaded white that you hate...and of course I bought the fabric mesh ones...with genuine Naugahyde synthetic chemical laden plastic (Instead of the dead cow skin...oh dear...with that comment I am encouraging the mud pies!!) I liked them because of the little window that looks like carbon fiber!! Woo Hoo! Techie!!

My hubby was driving and he was at the end of the driveway...well...I started to run and passed him, he said the speedometer was pegged to the max!! These are SHOX TURBO. Not sure if that was your question...or if it is a specific model you were talking about. But mine have this little hiddie hole in the sole for something called an IPOD. Apparently it talks to you...well, I listened all day...and my shoes never said anything to me. I wonder if I am supposed to ALSO buy this IPOD thing. (just kidding...) This is my first pair of shox. They are a tad weird to me. But I have a slender foot and most other shoes I tried were huge. Nike is supposed to be a larger shoe...but this model was wide across the knuckles...and got narrow towards the back. I liked that my foot wasn''t sliding or slipping.

I am old school...and LOVE white. I spray a ton of that stain repellent stuff on them...and can wade through puddles! Now I will TURBO through them!! I can''t buy black or other colors...and I am too much of a wimp to commit to an accent color. So white, silver and greys are all I can do. But man am I fast-turbo fast.

DKS, we better not even get into veg stuff when we''re talking about shoes, and also there''s that whole thing with Nike and sweatshop labor, I believe. I will look into it further, but for now I''m just gathering information, hee hee.

It''s not that I dislike white gym shoes, I love the way they look on others, but I wear a size 9.5 or 10, and when I wear white gym shoes I feel like my feet look especially huge. I usually wear dark running pants or shorts, so I like for my footwear to sort of blend in with whatever bottoms I''m wearing as well. I know, I''m a little tightly wound when it comes to what I wear, I just can''t help it!!

The shoes you posted are sharp, I like them!

Yup, you have to get the little sensor thing (I think the kit is $29) so you can hook up your ipod (that''s an MP3 player just in case you didn''t know, it plays music you download off your computer, in a nutshell, and it''s small so you can carry it with you when you''re exercising). I think it''s only compatible with the apple Ipod. So now you''ll have to go get an Ipod and the sensor kit, ha ha! I think I am more interested in the technological features of these shoes than I am the actual shoe itself...I have an Ipod I never use and I think if I got these shoes I''d be much more likely to take it with me when I work out.

Tacori, don''t go to any trouble asking your friend, I''m sure I can find reviews somewhere online. Thank you for offering, though!!
