No more pearls.....liar....new tahitian necklace....

OK, I've been on a pearl buying spree, actually it's been all kinds of jewellery...since I've been in the US. I thought that with my regular jeweller being in Singapore, I'd be shopping less but thanks to futurefashionista, that has not been the case at all !!!

So...here are my new tahitians....a menagerie of colors. It is a 10.7 x 13.5mm necklace with natural color browns, coppers, greens, grays and silver. The pearls are medium to heavy circle pearls with a medium to high lustre and measure 17 ¾" in length.

Those are fabulous. They rest on the perfect place on your neck! I keep trying to figure out which length would rest on that place on my neck. I''m going down to 15 inches.

Thanks, BL. I find that the larger the pearls, the longer the necklace will need to be. Typically I wear 16" or 17" chains but when it comes to pearls, I need them longer. My white SS pearls (see other thread) was 18" but fall just right and this strand is almost 18" as well.

Yeah, you have to take into account the diameter of the pearls. The bigger they are, the closer to your neck they''ll be. I have such a tiny neck that a 16" necklace looks like 18" on me. It''s so tiny, I''m surprised it can hold my head.

Thanks, D&T! I think anyone can wear larger pearls so long as we don''t look too much like Wilma Flintstone! And even pearls that size have their own charm

He he, my charger for the camera is misplaced...somewhere...seriously. I have to look for it or buy a new charger or even a new camera, it's falling apart.

You need to go camera shopping woman! We had to buy a camera during a holiday in China a couple of years back because I brought our camera but forgot the charger and we were in Chaozhou which is not the same as Shanghai at all

....it was a bit tough to explain what we were looking for. While I can speak Mandarin, it''s not enough to explain zoom etc....guess I''m more monolingual than I thought

I don''t wear them too often unless I am dressing up but I DO love to Look at mine!! hehe Yours are GORGEOUS!!!!
