No proposal for the holidays....

BF informed me the other day that he did not think that the "time frame" of a proposal before/during the holidays would be feasible. It REALLY sucks to know that because I was getting excited to think that we might be able to share it with our families. BUT I'm also REALLY glad that he told me so that I won't have to be constantly wondering until then whether or not he would be proposing and then be disappointed during that time when he doesn't. However, this does make me think that he is doing something possibly custom since it will take that long. (If you recall, I'm not allowed to have any knowledge about the diamond/ring process.) Or maybe it would take that long for a standard setting since it is so close to the holidays and a lot of people are buying rings. Hmmm.... what do you think??
Either way, I'm still excited to know that he is at least working on it

Dont worry! When i realized i wasnt going to get engaged during the Holidays i got sad too!! But it will happen for us!!!!

That was nice of BF to keep you updated about the timing so you don't expect a ring or proposal during the holidays. That certainly helps you adjust your expectations and reduces anxiety. Better to know it's not coming than wonder if it is and be disappointed. Hopefully your ring will be ready soon after the new year and you'll get a proposal soon after.
