our wedding bands are too small. It''s very similar to this design:

I need to have it sized to a 5 and my dh to a 12.5. Is this possible? Would there be a noticable spot? Would it alter the design?

We may end up buying new rings depending on cost of resizing.

We''re looking into titanium, but that''s another post

The whole story is down to how much do you need them enlarged? half a size ot two sizes? I do not know precisely what you jeweler will say, but, whatever he does, the bands will have to be cut and reaseembled for any significant resizing: this will surely breack the pattern on that YG inlay. Only slight sizing maybe done otherwise without actually cutting through the bands (for ex: I had a platinum band sized up less than half a size to be able to move it from its default finger). I would ask the jeweler "what are you going to do with it?": and if the answer includes "cut", I would skip the operation entirely given my disbelief that the YG model can be patched without a trace.

Mine would need to go from a 4.5 to a 5 and my dh's from a 11.75 to a 12.5 or 13 (he has to go get sized). Maybe we'll keep them as keepsakes
