So, I can''t believe I''m up to number 30 on the list! Mind boggling!
Anyways, I just wanted to stop in and apologize for not being around much lately. We have courses this summer and it''s the first time I''ve had a real (19 credit! eek!) courseload in the summer. Last summer we were on rotations and once in undergrad I took a single course over summer. Needless to say, it''s kicking my behind. The courses aren''t particularly hard. I would actually say that, aside from learning every chemotherapy combination EVER, this is our easiest quarter. It''s just that we are in one room for the entire day and - IT DOESN''T HAVE WINDOWS! This is dreadful because I know it''s beautiful outside and I am stuck in a dungeon!
I''m all set up to move in with SO in Sept. I still need to get my intern license for Ohio but all my rotations are set up. They aren''t exactly what I was hoping... I''m just praying I can get through them. We have career day coming up soon and I have 7 interviews so I''m nervous about that. I''m hoping they go well. I would like to have a job lined up long before I graduate. I have less than a year left of my program but I feel like it''s just now starting to get really stressful - rotations, jobs, BOARD EXAMS.... definitely not fun.
Sort of LIW-related: I have a bad habit of biting the skin around my nails. It''s totally disgusting, I know. I''ve been telling SO since we''ve been talking about engagements that he needs to let me know in advance so I can get a manicure. Well, this past week he suggested I get a manicure... and if I stop biting that he''ll pay for me to get one every two weeks! I know it''s going to be a while... probably sometime between Sept and Dec before we are engaged, but this is definitely good news!! And in the meantime, I get free manicures.
Also, today is my 22nd birthday! No engagement today. I already got my present from SO... a beautiful blue topaz ring that is currently occupying my left hand ring finger
I won''t spend today with him (or anyone, unfortunately) because I have a test Friday worth 50% of my grade in the class. But we should be going to a nice dinner this weekend, so I''m excited about that!
