Northern CA brides. Florist Suggestions?

Hi everyone.

So I''m now about 7 months away from my wedding and planning has come to a halt. We have all the "big" things: Venue, caterer, photographer, dress...but I can''t bring myself to get the floral stuff done. Maybe I feel overwhelmed because I don''t know a thing about flowers? I''m in San Francisco, but the wedding will take place in Healdsburg (Sonoma County). Can any of you Northern CA PSers recommend a good florist (at a good value of course)?

I can get you one. One of my bf's got married in Healdsburg this past June. The wedding was amazing! Where are you getting married? I'll get the florists name tomorrow.

She said they were expensive for what they got but I don''t have anything to compare it to out there. I do know of one other person who got married out there last year and I''ll ask her tomorrow. Both used wedding planners and their florist was due to suggestions from the planners. HTH.

BTW...her florals were gorgeous!!
 
I LOVED my flowers from Out of the Weeds on Battery St.
 
Thanks HC. The venue also recommended dragonfly floral but I was nervous with hit or miss reviews. I suppose I should take those with a grain of salt though.

Not sure as I got married in San Francisco proper. But I know she does a ton of weddings out that way so I assume she would be happy to deliver out there too. Most of the pictures she showed me were Napa/Sonoma weddings IIRC. Her style is beautiful and earthy so her flowers work perfectly with wine country weddings.

I used Fantasy Florals! I LOVED my flowers (really fresh and gorgeous), and she was absolutely awesome to work with. She almost seemed more excited about my wedding flowers than I was, and I love flowers! As far as pricing, I only got quotes from 2 other florists (one of them was the same one Gypsy used, but she was booked on my date), and they were all roughly the same. Probably not the cheapest out there, but reasonable (imo) for the quality you get.

Flowers were one of my biggest OCD thing and Katherine exceeded all my expecations. Over a year later when people I know mention flowers for weddings, they mention mine. She''s just that good.

Gypsy - your flowers were the reason Katherine was the first person I contacted for my wedding! I was so, so disappointed when she turned out being booked for my date (she was happy to do them, but wouldn''t be able to deliver them).

MonkeyPants - Katherine got back to me quite fast when I had originally e-mailed her with a few questions. I''m sure it wouldn''t hurt to ask...
 
PT, I emailed Katherine as soon as I saw Gypsy''s flowers! Haven''t heard back yet, but it''s been less than 24 hours...

She books fast because she only does one wedding per weekend. She likes to focus on that bride exclusively, which is lovely. Twigs and Ivy and... on there was a woman in Moraga whose work was lovely as well... Karen something. Are all good suggestions. I don't know if Katherine has a minimium, I seem to recall most having a 1000 minimum, but I knew that wouldn't be an issue with my ambitions, so I don't recall having any specific conversations with Katherine about the issue.

If she doesn't respond via email, feel free to call her. She's a doll.

Thank you MP and PT for the lovely compliments on my flowers. They really just exceeding my VERY high expectations and I adored them. Plus Katherine was just a breeze to work with.
