I performed horribly on my mid-terms and need to focus more on school. I''ll give you updates when things happen with my SO and ask for advice if I need it, but otherwise I''ll need to stay away.

I really want to thank you for everything. You''ve made my life a whole lot easier when it comes to the engagement issue, and I''ve had a lot on fun talking and planning and looking at dresses and rings with you.

I wish you luck in your projects and hope your SOs will see the light and propose SOON to the wonderful ladies that you are. In case I miss an announcement, my congratulations and best wishes. It always makes me insanely happy to know that one of you is finally engaged!

Love,

Anchor31

Good luck with your schoolwork---I know how that goes!

Hopefully you''ll be back with good news soon

I can totally relate, I try to limit my PS time to nighttime when I''m unwinding.. I just refresh periodically to see what''s up, but I need to cut back on the weeks I have papers/tests/etc..

Anyways, we will miss you and PLEASE keep us updated if anything happens! You can''t forget about us!

Good luck with school! One more month then you can take a break!!

Thank you for your kind words and thoughts! You have no idea what it means to me, or how much you''ve helped me in the past few months. You all are wonderful ladies.

And I do have news!! I just got off the phone with my boyfriend and he asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I told him I''d really like to have a nice fabric jewelry bag I can put my things in, roll up and put in the bottom of my drawer. I live with three other people, I want to keep my valued possession safe. I also know his budget is very tight, and I think that kind of unexpensive gift would be a bit more personal then a movie or CD, so...

Well, as the almost-overly honest guy that he is (bless him), he told me he''d been looking at some "stuff" he thought I''d really like, but it all turned out to be too expensive, so he had been at a loss. I asked him what kind of "stuff" he''d been looking at, at he said he''d been at jewelry stores and he''d looked at things like pendants and... rings.

I wanted to scream with excitement! But I said it''s okay, I know his budget is really suffering at the moment so I''m not going to ask for expensive stuff. So he said he knows it''s more what''s behind it that matters to me, but he''d still like to get me something nice. And I told him that when he''ll feel confident about the whole thing, I''ll have a few suggestions for him...

He said: "You''ve been shopping?!" "Heck, yes!"

To think I could have had a ring for Christmas... *half-excited, half-frustrated scream*
I can hardly believe it, really. Looks like it''s going to be sooner than I think!!

I promise to keep you posted, I could never forget about you! It might even be partly thanks to you that he proposes sooner, because my attitude towards it changed so much in the last few weeks...

Thanks for the encouragements. It really keeps me going.

Much love,

Anchor31

Bye for Now, Anchor! We''ll miss you, but you''re totally doing the right thing. I also wanted to thank you for all the help you''ve given me in the past couple of weeks. I wish you tons of luck. And hey, before you know it, you''ll be wearing your sparkler and finally planning that wedding! See you soon!!

Well, I have some news. Since my SO said he looked at rings for Christmas, I sent him a link to a gorgeous 5-stones yellow gold ring with white gold shared prongs I''ve been lusting over (see my avatar). Today, we were IM-ing and he told me he bought my present but it wasn''t a ring. *sigh*

Anyway, he said he saw the ring and though it was pretty and it gave him idea and then he said: "You never know, it could be two dolphins with two diamonds as their eyes."

EEK!! Don''t get me wrong, I love dolphins, I even study marine biology, but daulphins as an E-ring?? EEK!! As a RHR maybe, but not my E-ring!!!

I think this is going to be harder than I thought it would me. My boyfriend has a creative streak; he does drawing as a living. Yes, it''s technical drawing, but it''s still drawing. He''s the kind of guy who would want to design his own house and build it with him own hands (he''s also a carpenter). I think he finds my 3 or 5 stones ideas a bit too... bland. But I''m a small, practical girl who likes a classic look. I like small, not-too-flashy, classic things. That suits me. But fish on my E-ring?? (Dolphins are not fish, they''re mammals, but you get my point) Especially since I can''t figure out that design without it turning out to be horribly enormous, and in white gold, which I don''t want. I have to say I''m a bit surprised too, because he''s casually mentioned eternity bands in the past, which would actually suit me much better than dolphins... And when we bought earrings for me last May, I didn''t go for anything with fish on them!

I''m ready to compromise on the price and stone quality, but not really on the design. I want to have something that I will want to never take off.

*sigh* I think my SO was slightly insulted by my saying I''d rather have something more traditional than dolphins on my E-ring. He said that he''d like something more artistic and that having something beautiful sitting on my finger should require a bit of work. Then he abruptly changed the subject when I tried to show him trellis, which in my opinion adds a touch of originality to a 3 or 5 stones setting.

Well, I guess I''ll leave that on the rocks for now (no pun intented). The conversation rather doused my enthousiasm, but it''s fine. I can concentrate on school and not get my hopes up for Christmas.

Thanks as always ladies! I''ll let you know when something else happens.

OH NO!! DOLPHINS??

I love dolphins too, but I''m with you that they shouldn''t be your engagement ring- especially because that''s NOT what you want, and he knows that.. I hope that he gets your hints and picks out something that you love, keep us posted!!
