Now, it''s a necklace...

This is a necklace my Mom gave me for my 19th birthday (many birthdays ago...). It was a diamond my Dad had given to my Mom for their wedding. My parents split when I was little, so the fact that she held onto it and had it set for me, is really special. I never take it off (except to scan it for Pricescope)

I thinks its about 1/3 ct. I don''t know the specs, since it was set many years ago and I never want to part with it long enough to have it appraised.

I just wanted to share it with you all.

That's great and I have done the same for my daughter who is 6 now. I am divorced from her father but have put the .40 pear into a necklace for her when she gets older........not sure when I'll give it to her though.

Marriahlynn- that is so great that you are saving it for your daughter. She will love it! I would say that that would make a great sweet 16 b-day present for sure. Or, you could always give it to her on her 18th.
