nytemist - I was thinking about you this morning when I saw some Halloween decorations in a candy store on the way to work. How are you doing with everything? Just a couple weeks left... has your FI settled down about the move in? Did you ever get your veil?

Don''t want to stress you out further... just wanted to check in!

I''m doing ok- thank you for asking!

I can''t believe it''s two weeks away- after the arguments and being completely mental all last year it''s here. The wedding plan are pretty much done. I have to go to the bakery tomorrow and give her the cake topper and the fabric swatch of my dress so the roses will be the right color. I emailed our photographer earlier about the specific shots I must have. I''m still in the process of making the veil. I''m kind of behind on that since I considered not wearing one at all. I was supposed to get my dad''s wedding ring sized to wear, but I think I will just wrap something around it to make it tighter. I don''t think daddy would be too happy over in the spirit world if I made changes to his wedding ring!

Moving isn''t quite such a big thing between us anymore. Last weekend I crammed some of a big stuff in my car and brought it to his place while he was at work. It was nice to bring it in with the help of a friend and arrange things in peace and quiet. FI did say he was sorry again for not realizing that I couldn''t move into complete mayhem. Although his place is still kind of a mess, since he finally started taking things out of boxes, but I can deal with moving things aorund once it''s all there.

The packing has me worn out since I''ve doing it a bit at a time. Lately I''ve been too fired and stressed to feel excited. That will change next week since I will begin the partying phase! I have my sort-of bachelorette/birthday party this coming weekend, then the real bachelorette party the following weekend. WOOO-HOOO!

It sounds like everything is working out well! That''s so great! You had so much stress last month that I''m relieved to see things falling into place. And so glad that FI is calming down about the move! Next year it will all be a blurry memory. Have a blast at your bachelorrette/birthday! Let the party begin!!!

I''m all about some stress-release celebrating. All the details are in place, if it ddoens''t go perfect oh well. As long as people have fun at the wedding, my mother behaves herself and I survive the flight to London for the honeymoon. (I have to be drugged to fly)

I was in the Christmas Tree shop (bad place for me) and I saw these great white glass ghost bowls. We plan on puting some candy corn around so these are perfect. I asked if we could decorate the front lobby and we can! I didn''t think we would be able since it''s a historic building and it''s a B&B upstairs, so there will be guests there. The event coordinator said he does think the guests will have a problem with it, so we''re getting some of that cotton to stretch over the mirrors with some big plastic spiders, a fake coffin in the corner and lots of other little stuff. I''m such a kid- I love Halloween!!!!

If I were staying at that B&B I think I''d get a kick out of seeing Halloween decorations, especially if it revolved around a wedding! How cool is that?!! I stayed at a B&B with a friend a couple of weeks before Halloween one year and we were thrilled to find bowls of chocolate everywhere we looked. It was so much fun! I think the cobwebs and coffins will by kitschy-cool!

I definitely can''t wait to see pics of your wedding! It sounds like another one I''d love to attend! And you''re going to be such a knock-out in that lavender gown!

We probably won''t go over the top with the decorating. After all it is a wedding. It will interesting- my uncle and aunts from the South will show up dressed to the nines,s ome of my old-school goth friends will show up in vinyl! My immediately family will in-between and Fi''s mom is wearing a ball gown. I love it.

Your dress is great, and it sounds like you''re really calm about everything with a good positive attitude. Yep, I''m still in the process of moving. It''s going kind of slow. I have a lot of stuff and my car isn''t what you would use for moving. My sister now drives my dad''s Navigator and it has some issues, so I can''t use that. I really didn''t want to spend the money to rent a van, but looks like I have to.

If I can make real progress this week, I''ll be good. I may have to finish after the honeymoon, which I really did want to do but I procrastinated. Then I would have to hear the fallout of all the things my mother didn''t like about the wedding.

I''ll relax more birthday weekend.

It''s coming together!

Yesterday I settled things with the bakery, gave our photographer our list of must-have pics and gave our final (we think) count of guests. Our coordinator has no problem with me putting up Halloween lights.

My BM and I are both all about this holiday and we are getting some cutesy things together. She''s going to bring her fairy wings to wear during the reception too. I want to wear my devil''s horns, but they may mess up my hair.

Even with all the other stuff going on, now I''m starting to feel excited. I knew it had to kick in soon. 12 days!
