His associations are scary. Way too many to just brush off as "distractions". Obama would never pass a background check to work for the FBI (or even in a customs booth at an international airport), but he may very well be our next President. His dishonestly on these associations may show that he has something to hide, but I tend to think that he just did what he had to do to further his political career. I don''t know which is worse. I think the majority of people have already decided if this will affect their vote or not, and it appears most people have decided the latter.

Ayers is a man who has never hid the fact that he is guilty. I believe the words were "Guilty as sin and free as a bird", actually.
So while he was never convicted of anything, the only reason why he wasn't is because the charges were dropped due to misconduct by the FBI.
I'm all for "innocent until proven guilty", but there is just something so repugnant about his attitude and lack of remorse. His own girlfriend killed herself trying to make a bomb!

Fair enough lucky, like I said I''m not up to speed with this one, so I will trust what you''re saying - but dead girlfriend or no, does it really make Obama just as guilty by association?
Actually, I know this topic has been done to death, and we will probably disagree - so lets just leave it here.
All I can say is, I''m very glad I have no ambitions for public office - plenty of stuff from my history could be blown out of proportion too..
Also, off topic, but it will be a strange day in politics here when every candidate is asked to release their life long medical records...I didn''t know perfect health was a pre requisite for office, lol..
