Hello all.
I am selling my very lightly worn (2 months) engagement ring. After applying some subtle pressure (and with a close friend just being proposed to with a 2 ct. stone!) my fiance has agreed to get me a larger one just like this one ; )

I love this ring! For those who are color sensitive, and can't tolerate even a hint of warmth in your diamonds, this is the stone for you. It is EGL USA certified as an "E" color, and two separate GIA gemologists have informally confirmed it, and it is an entirely eye-clean SI1.

This stone has outstanding brightness--it literally glows! It has the lovely flower petal faceting at the center. With "Good" symmetry and polish, and a spread of 6.28 x 6.22, this is a great old-cut diamond!

The setting is a Gabriel & Co, 14kt, .85 in F-G, SI1 melee. It has 3 pointers in the halo, and 5 pointers in the shank. The setting came from ID Jewlery, and as my fiance tells me, Yuketiel told him this was the prettiest halo they had in store (short of going custom!) because all you see is diamonds. And with 3 pointers in the halo, it provides great finger coverage!

The setting is currently selling for $1595

A comparable OEC at Old World Diamonds is selling for $5467

Putting this ring together today would cost you around $7100. At $4200, this is a very good deal!

No returns, so please examine all the pictures closely and ask any questions you might have.ring%20in%20flower%201.jpg

It'd help if you post a link to a listing. There are no PMs here ;)

it's a beautiful ring!

is this ring still available?

Hello! I just sent it off for consignment with Jewels by Erica Grace, (and Grace let me know I had this WAY under priced) but yes, it is still available : )

If it was way underpriced you likely would have sold it ::) I don't mean that in a snarky way, but it is my observation that well priced items on the secondary market sell fast. Also, as private sellers we cannot command the same price as a jeweler like JBEG or similar. Hopefully JBEG can find a good buyer for you! I wish you luck!

Good point. ; )

I hope they find a good buyer, too! I'm itching to start seriously looking for my upgrade! My fiance won't even let me TALK to him about a new stone until this one is sold (I guess I can't blame him, poor guy : )

I just wanted to ask if the place where you bought the diamond doesn't do upgrades? it might be cheaper to just do a trade in. My DH proposed with a .79ct and on our 3 year anniversary we traded up for a 2ct (thank goodness we did this before the price of diamonds went up through the roof), anyhow we are now talking about upgrading to 4 cts on our 10 year only because the store we bought it from has no sales tax and a pretty good trade up policy. Just something to think about.

I think the pricing was fine. It's not a great time to sell on DB. People on DB are usually looking for stuff for themselves and during the holidays people don't spend a lot of money on themselves. They spend it on others.

I think it is fine too! In fact I saw a similar size at the local jewelers set for $6000. It is a beautiful ring!
