Hi,

So I'm finally getting around to posting the e-ring i ended up purchasing a few months ago. The proposal and pending nuptuals are coming along swimmingly.

We're looking for suggestions on a good wedding band to match it and we're thinking about something incorporating black diamonds, Her finger is very small (5.25) so we are looking for something thin that won't overpower the setting.

I need to do some searching on black diamonds so any opinions on that direction are welcome :) It seems like they're becoming more popular lately. I like the contrast, but don't want something too faddish.

don't know how to attach multiple images to one post and was having difficulty linking to images externally (maybe cause i size them 800x600, and who doesn't these days? anyhow here's #2

still having technical difficulties :)

Could you let me know more about the specs of the stones? I''ve never seen anything like this before. What a unique setting. WOW!!!

more pics please!!!!

oooohhhh! That is really beautiful. I don''t see many ovals and I''ve never seen one set like this. I think I would prefer a wband with white diamonds or for contrast, a wband with sapphires and diamonds? Not crazy about black diamonds.

That is one unique and awesome ring!! Congrats! Where are the hand shots? I can''t wait to see them! I agree with one of the ladies here about having a sapphire and diamond band instead of black diamonds. But overall it''s up to both of your tastes! So, don''t forget to post more pictures, please!

OMGosh! That is incredible, I love the double prongs and E W orientation! GORGEOUS!

no picture limit, just rename to some random numbers and try again. You can''t link to photbucket against forum rules. If you are having trouble still, just email the admin to post your pictures for you.

aha. thanks! no photobucket. shoulda checked the forum rules.

any suggestions for embedding multiple images in one post?

god this ring is beautiful, it makes me lust for an oval! congrats!

I love how it turned out...love the E/W setting also! Not bit on black diamonds but thats a personal preference.
Congratulations on a beautiful ring!

And wow, thanks for the response and the complements! i tried several times to post more info and didn''t realize the undefined error was photobucket-related.

to answer some of the questions...
The center stone is a 1.33 F SI1, ex/ex cut/pol.

the band if i remember correctly is a bit over 1/2 carat total weight, and the stones are rated at h si1 or better, and of good or better cut (arrgh, i forget the exact specs on the setting)

I know the center stone by heart because it was a months-in-the-making obsession. Now she says to people "hey, it''s his ring, i just wear it"

I purchased the setting from a local jewelery store with a very helpful and knowledgeable owner who was not a BS salesman, just genuinely interested in helping me find the perfect setting and stone. Our requirements were the east-west oval (of course) also a lower setting as my girl is a self professed klutz, and athletic, so a low well protected setting was key as well. We tried a bunch of settings and he wasn''t satisfied until he spotted this one and ordered it in for us to look at. I himmed-and hawed around looking at other stores and ended up coming back to this one cause it was perfect and i was just being a dunderhead.

I had him search for some stones for me, but he was in a different ballpark than the online folks, so I ended up using whiteflash for that part.

With regards to the wedding band search, truth be told, I''m not crazy about black diamonds either, just a path we are exploring because she expressed some interest in it. We''ll see how the search goes!

So pretty!! Congrats!

thats gorgeous.
I''m researching ovals and thats the size I''m looking at so I definetaly want to see some handshots in the near future!

Its a gorgeous ring!!

I really love that ring - please post handshots!
