WOW,
THis is truly the MOST AMAZING feeling in the world! My best friend asked me to marry him yesterday, May 18th! I am the happiest girl in the world! Here is the story:
I graduated yesterday, and after graduation we had a lunch at my uncles restaurant with 40 or my family and friends, including FI parents and little brother. the lunch was awesome, very chaotic walking around talking to everyone. Finally I sat down for 2 minutes to get a couple bites of my lunch and FI said, "maybe we should stand up and thank everyone for coming" Some traveled from a long way and he thought it would be nice to stand up and thank them. Or so I thought. I said yes i think so, but I need to run to the bathroom.
I got back and he was standing at the front of the room, off to the side, waiting for me. We stood together, he started talking, "thank you everyone so much...." I interupted, " truly, I appreciate everyone being here to celebrate being done" then HE INTERUPTED...(at this point I look at him with an annoyed look because I can''t understand why HE keeps talking. Its MY graduation, shouldn''t I be thanking them? HAHA) So when he continued talking he said, "sam has had a really good weekend, she received and accepted a job offer on friday and has graduated today, but i would like to make it even better.." he got down on one knee "will you run away with me, to somewhere warm, and get married"
Of course amongst my sniffles i said YES! we are having a destination wedding! I will put up pictures soon, but i cant find my camers (it was a crazy day!)
