So, i open my e-mail and what to i FINALLY see???? An order confirmation from Whiteflash!!!!!

The temptation was so strong so I called my cousin to have her talk me out of opening it..she didn''t answer so I figured that was a sign that it was ok to open the e-mail then my senses came back and I called my friend and she strongly advised that I DO NOT touch it...something anout ruining the surprise yada yada yada blah blah blah....

I know i shouldn''t open it and that it will really hurt his feelings and ruin everything BUT it is so HARD!!!!! I''ve waited so long...but I am very very very happy that he purchased the diamond from Whiteflash so I can rest a bit better and now I know for sure that a proposal is coming very soon!!!

But its still so hard!!!!!

STOP. RIGHT.NOW!!!!!

Restrain yourself.

Get out of the house.

Go for a walk.

Go to Mickey D''s

Go for a car ride.

Visualize the look on HIS FACE when he finally gets to give it to you!!! You only get ONE CHANCE at that! (and then think: think of what HE WILL SEE when he sees you open the box for the first time!) Don''t steal that away from him!

STEP AWAY FROM THE BOX!!

What she said!!!!!!

Don''t open it! I recently discovered a printed confirmation for my ring, and I wish I had just shoved it away the second I realized what it was. I know the waiting is incredibly hard, but if there''s ever a time to exercise every ounce of willpower in you, this is it. Good luck! You can do it!

P.S. If a guy wants the proposal to be a surprise, why does he do things like send the confirmation to the girl''s email or leave it in a pile of her papers??

Oh my! I admire your restraint! I don''t know if I would''ve been able to do it...I might''ve had to just put on an Oscar-worthy performance when I see it for the "first time." Good luck!

I would totally look because I am such a surprise ruiner! But I''ll give this my best shot: DON''T LOOK! There, was that convincing enough?

But seriously, I bet he''d be very disappointed if you peeked...try to keep that in mind while you''re tempted!

Stay away. How would you feel if your FI goes in to sneak what your wedding dress looks like. Yeah think about that....

Be strong. Drop the mouse!

I''m BACK to checK: are you still restraining yourself???

:)

OK....i will be the first to admit that my patience needs some work and I am soooooo trying not to peek but he hasn''t checked the bloody e-mail yet and it is really started to irk me!!!!!!!

It''s like torture

I am reading a book right now and we are going out to dinner soon but it is really taking all my will power (and believe me it was very low to start with when it comes to something i want lol!)

Hopefully I will be psoting soon that i''m engaged...please dump so fairy dust on me!!!!

LOTS of fairy dust sprinkling your way. You should be proud of yourself too!! It is realllllly hard I know, since my ring has been in my BFs house for over two weeks and he has shown it to my family...knowing its physical presence is only a few short miles away from me drives me crazy! However, I know the surprise factor will be worth it. You too will enjoy it so much more when the ring finds you (not the other way around). Don''t, repeat...Don''t look. Karma says not to :-)

Just checking in on you, STBYFFE...how goes the battle?

Hange in there, Good things come to those who wait...

Yay! This is wonderful wonderful news. It''s not as though you NEED to open the e-mail to be excited and full of anticipataion. So live it up! Love that it''s there and have faith that something wonderful is sure to be around the corner. Do NOT open it.

Ok so it turns out i did get to see the e-mail...sortof...the bf called me into the room (after blindfolding me) b/c he didn''t know where the attachment was in the e-mail. So I know that he did purchase something and that he had to fax information to Vera b/c I had to make up a cover sheet. I already know he bought the diamond and I have a very good idea which one b/c I gave him a list and the one that I really wanted from Whiteflash is gone but the other ones that I wrote down are still in their inventory. Now the wait really begins...i feel almost indifferent...I mean I was really excited to discover that he bought the diamond but now its like "great even more waiting when I have been waiting over 1 1/2 yrs already" I am sure when he actually proposes I will be a mess of tear or in his words "will melt like butter" but right now I feel almost over it....almost but not quite. Is this normal?

I think it''s normal! I was pretty much exactly the same way. You''ll still enjoy it when it happens, though-I promise! I did!
