I was talking to the bf tonight and we were talking timelines. There is a possibility that he could have the ring in his possession by mid April. But he says that he may not be able to implement his "plan" until the summer... as in July or August! Aaaack!

I am wracking my brains trying to think up any reason whatsoever that would warrant months of torture since I have already been waiting for four months for him to finish paying for the thing.

So since I know that you girls are very creative I have come to you for ideas. You should also know that he is not creative AT ALL, and a terrible planner, so this whole thing has me a bit anxious

It took D nearly three months to propose, his reason being that he was planning a surprise trip to Barcelona. It took him a while to plan that (I usually do our holiday bookings) and also I work every couple of weekends so he had to wait until one came up that I was free and that he was free.

Perhaps your bf is planning to take you somewhere?

That''s what I thought too, that he might want to take you on a trip somewhere. Is there anything like a family reunion (don''t know if you''d want your family around when you get engaged) or some other occasion he might be thinking about?

It can''t be a trip or anything because 1. he has no money... and 2. he said it will happen in my house... so i''m really stumped and on the verge of sending my friends to figure out whether or not it''s a good reason. If it is then i''m happy to wait... if not....

Maybe he wants to lose 15 pounds so he''ll look pretty in the proposal pictures?

Or maybe there''s another part to his plan, that requires nice weather (do you have a balcony, or a backyard?), or the arrival of some other object he might order, or for the planets to align correctly...?

Maybe he''s flying your family in to share in the momentous occasion! Or taking cooking lessons so he can make you a wonderful romantic dinner... or...

I would agree with Gwendolyn that he''s either trying to throw you so that you don''t think it''s coming anytime soon and will be surprised (which would be really cute) OR maybe he has something special of his own planned that depends on the weather? Never can tell with guys! How excited to know it''s coming though!

OMG I''m dying... that would be funny. Not too likely though. Weather isn''t really a problem because I live in Georgia so hot and sunny is the norm year round. I so have my fingers crossed that he''s trying to throw me off. However, he''s usually one of those people that when he gets an idea in his head you can''t get him to deviate from it. So if his idea has the word summer or August *shudder* in it, then i''ll be waiting til summer or August *shudder*. LOL Thanks ladies for all your ideas!
