What a difference a couple weeks makes. Last night he was asking me about rings...what I like, etc. This past week, he told me he is going to ask (he knows, I suppose, that I''m tapping my fingers here) -- he says he''s choosing the right place and time. He''s also in full-force to improve his financial stability after a major problem last year.
Immediately, I began yelling, "no! no! shhhh! don''t tell me! don''t tell me anymore!" Later, he tells me his sister asked, "So, are you going to marry her?" and his response was, "I''m working on it!"
Ha -- One week I''m ready to badger the poor man into proposing; the next week, I''m saying, "NO NO...Don''t tell me!."

My question now is: WHAT DO I DO?! He mentioned (or we discussed very briefly) April 2007. We know where we would like to get married (it actually isn''t a choice...we ADORE this one historic town) What the heck do I do now? or when he proposes? I don''t know how to do all of this. I''ve never been a wedding person -- none of my friends have really been wedding people.

Ananda,

I guess I''d say wait to plan the actual details of the wedding until after he proposes! Let yourself be excited and waiting for one thing at a time (the proposal and being engaged). THEN move on to the wedding. Even if he''s talking April 2007, that gives you almost a year to plan. Some people have about 6 months and do just fine. Any reason April is "the month?" If you already know where you want to have it, that''s a great start. How big of an affair are you hoping for?

Don''t stress about the wedding yet! Just relax, enjoy the fact that your man is making some serious progress... and wait!

Good Luck... we''ll all be here to help while you wait : )
