I purchased a diamond, un certified. It weighs in at .7ct. I graded is as vs2, H/I.

Now here is where I am having the problem. Here are my notes...something isn't right because it's not adding up.

It's 6mm round, so would mean an shallow cut.

3.9mm depth
3.9mm table

Depth Percentage is 65.5
Table percentage is 65%
Pavilion angle is 45o
Crown angle is 33o

So 45o means a deeper cut, but the weight/ct SHOULD show a shallower cut.

What am I missing.

Ok...figured it out.

Pavilion angle is 37.3%. makes more sense.....

Problem was?

No idea. Reset the digital protractor and it gave the right numbers. Good thing it took me an hour to figure this out. At least I'm not crazy, but time for a new one.

Never mind!

No problem, it's Saturday evening and I also had a few shots.
Cheers!
