i don''t mind 100'' as long as it''s dry but,i don''t see how you guys handle the humidity.
We''re about 60 miles southeast of downtown LA, in south OC, and it''s been about the same....95-100 degrees. Weekdays we turn on the AC when we all get home (husband, kids and I around 5PM) and turn it off when we go to sleep by about 9pm all we need to do is crack open all the windows and turn on the ceiling fans. Weekends we have the AC on all day long, except when we''re out at the Mall or at the pool.Date: 8/1/2005 11:50:32 AM

We''re also in So. Cal. about 30 miles East of Downtown LA, and it''s HOT!! We''ve become hermits in our own home to escape the heat!!! I''d say it''s about 95 to 100 degrees and it''s already 80 by 9:00 am!!! ACK!!
You''re lucky you can leave the A/C off during the day!! We''re home all day, so that''s not an option + 2 cats that need to have the A/C on so they don''t swelter...when we do leave, though, I''ll turn the thermostat up to 80 degrees...the cats don''t need to be living in a 73 degree house! LOL I can''t wait to see what my electric bill will look like this coming month...it doubled from June to July!!!! ACK!!!!Date: 8/1/2005 6:29:01 PM

i was told,it isn''t too smart to turn off the A/C during the day b/c, your furniture absorb heat and it would take longer to cool down the house when you turn back on the A/C.Date: 8/1/2005 7:13:13 PM

Heat and humidity and Houston = gross summer.
But after living here my entire life, it''s, well, just summer.
My electric bill was $860.00 last month. Big house with 3 separate units. And the pool cutting on amd off doesn''t help either.
How my elect. does this laptop use!?
