I just got up from my desk at work (AND it''s my last day working here) and heard something hit the ground. I looked down and my Tiffany Paloma Picasso Loving Heart pendant fell off my neck!!!!!!!

Good thing I looked down. My boyfriend gave me this necklace, it means a lot to me. My (real heart) dropped. Im standing there looking at my beautiful chain on the ground thinking NO NO NO NO.......I quickly checked the clasp to see if it was broken or something and thankfully its in perfect condition. I must have not put it on correctly this morning. Ive got on a turtleneck type top, so I must have done it wrong.

And on top if it all, I had been walking all around the building and it didn''t come off. I can''t believe this. And Im about to walk to the complete other end of the building (a VERY long walk) and all the way outside into another building to return my work key.

OH GOD what if I lost it?

I feel so sad. How ironic that this has NEVER happened EVER before but on my last day at work, my heart falls off.....literally.

OH THANK GOD I NOTICED.

(I know this has nothing to do with LIW, but anyway....lol)

Eeep! Thank goodness you noticed! That would have been terrible!

It is kind of funny.. in a creepy way.. that it happened on your last day. I''m not entirely sure what to make of that...

PHEW!!!! Very close call!

OMG I''m glad you noticed!!!!

I know exactly how you feel. I have a heart and x''s two-tone necklace that my boyfriend gave me for our first Christmas as a couple (6 years ago!!). I never take it off and one day as I was hanging up clothes, the hanger got caught in the necklace and it broke

I cried for hours. Luckily we were able to replace the part that broke but it was really hard. it''s amazing how emotions work...

Glad its safely on your neck where it belongs!!

ETA: Don't know why it posted twice LOL

Good thing you found it!

I have a necklace that was given to me by a very dear friend. It was a comissioned piece by a local artist and I adore it. I once wore it to an event and realized in the middle of the event that it had fallen off. I waited for the event to end and ducked outside only to find my precious pendant laying beside the driver side of my car! Needless to say, when I put necklaces on now, I always give a little tug on the chain just to be sure!

Oh thank goodness!

I just walked down to return my key. I kept putting my hand on my necklace to make sure its there. (I always do that with my rings and bracelets) I had to call my boyfriend to tell him about it because I knew it would make me feel better. I told him I felt so bad and he knows how I take care of my jewelery. I clean whatever necklace I''ve worn that day, that night with a silver polish wipe (Tiffany gives me) and put everything in its rightful pouch and box. He said the same thing that he is happy I noticed it. I told him how much it means to me because he gave it to me and I would just die if I lost it. I told him how I was so shaken up about it and even started to cry a little bit. (crazy I know, but its an emotional day and I cherish this necklace so much)

Now Im more concerned about the necklace than my job. lol And I only have less than an hour left here then Im done. Incredible.

You know whats funny? Jewelry is the only thing that I never lose! Even if I lose it, I always find it, if not immediately, soon after. Watch me lose my future e-ring now...bet you I just jinxed myself.
