OMG!!! He proposed on my birthday!!!

Well, ladies, I was completely wrong! My BF of 14 months chose today, my 35th birthday, to drop to one knee and propose!!! I cannot believe that I am carrying around this big ''ol 2+ carat honker on my finger!! He even let me try on the matching wedding bands, which I am going to try to sneak some pictures of tomorrow! The ring turned out better than I could have ever hoped for, and the finished look is amazing!

I can''t believe he caught me so off-guard...really, I just asked for an electric toothbrush (which I got, by the way!) When we got home tonight I told him I wanted to go email some of my friends about our engagement, so I quick like a bunny jumped on here so I could share my good news with you all!

I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! I promise to take pictures as soon as I get home! I can''t wait to share with you all! Thank you again for all of your support!

Hi Ladies,

Thank you everyone soooo much for the congratulations and birthday wishes! I am still in shock, to be honest with you! I nearly killed myself driving home because I was so busy staring at my new ring! I told my FI that I needed to run home for a little while today, which of course meant I was going to attempt to take some pictures for you!

You''ll notice in them that I DID NOT get my nails done before the proposal I did not know was coming...I think if I had, I would''ve jinxed it, and my finger would still be bare right now! So, please disregard the cruddy nails as well as the bad pictures!

I first tried one camera that apparently doesn''t have a macro setting, then I grabbed my old one that does, and of course the memory card on that one was full, so I''ve been sitting here weeding through all the pix so I could take some new ones. They are not very good-I am in awe of how all of you take such fantastic pictures! I will definitely have to spend some time in the next week or so trying to take better ones!

I have no flowers in my tiny yard, so thanks to my best friend for the birthday flowers with a beautiful coral hydrangea she left on my porch yesterday morning! Here goes, ladies, I did the best I could!!! I''ll try to get better ones for you soon!

The way I sized them down was by viewing the pictures on the computer though a picture viewer (I know very descriptive... forgive me) and the doing a print screen command and then cropping the picture in MS Paint.

I think there is a tutorial on here somewhere... but I didn't find it.

I just broke the news to my mom that we''re thinking about a Hawaii destination wedding-she didn''t have a heart attack, so that''s a REALLY good sign!

I also had to take the ring back to the jewelers this morning because being the anal, I mean, particular, person that I am, I noticed the head was just a little off-center, and it was driving me crazy! So, hopefully I will have even better pictures (if I could ever figure them out by myself!) when I get home.

Now I''m off to get my nails done so they don''t take away from my ring when I go out for a birthday dinner with all of my friends this evening! (The ring best be done before they close today!!!

) I also picked up my FI''s ring...it was waiting here in the mail when I stopped by my house! Yay!
