I REALLY should be working on report cards right now but my mind keeps wandering to random thoughts.

My ears are double-pierced and I''m not sure if I want to let my second holes close up. I got the second piercing years ago, when it was the "in" thing to do.

Are you planning on doing one earring or two for your wedding? Have you even thought about it?

I have a feeling that the classier thing to do would be to stick with one earring but I''m not sure.

Hey Zoe,

I only have one piercing in each ear. I''ve often thought about getting a second set, but I always chicken out since I had a bad experience (when I was 10!) with the first set.

I think it depends on how visible the piercings are if you don''t wear earrings in them. If they are very visible, I might be tempted to put a tiny diamond stud in the second set. If not, I''d probably leave it empty.

I like 2 if the 2nd is a small cute like diamond stud or something.

I would wear my 2nd holes, but they were pierced unevenly (one straight across from 1st, the other down a bit) so I dont.

If your second hole is not noticable, go for just one set, but if you have a large second hole, I would also vote for a very small diamond stud.

BTW, I feel your pain! I finally finished my report cards last Thursday and will finish my parent/teacher conferences tomorrow! Woo hoo! Only 2 more days and then I''m on vacation for 2 weeks! Hooray! The first vacation of the year! I can hardly wait! Hang in there!

That''s what I do with mine...

I have two holes, and on the wedding day, I just wore one pair (white gold, a vine-like post with a substantial pearl drop - I love my wedding day earrings and I felt like they should stand on their own EVEN THOUGH my mom offered to get me a tiny pair of pearl or diamond studs...I know, turning down jewelry on PS is a major sin, but I did..).

But...I will say this, after I got engaged, I also started paring down how much jewelry I was wearing on a daily basis, and about 6 mos before the wedding, stopped wearing my second set of earrings completely. Even now, they''re not reaaaally closed. The hole isn''t noticable or fresh, but with a little fiddling and no pain, I can still slip an earring in if I want. . I''ve heard that if you had your piercings done with a gun that they will never completely close, but I don''t know if that''s true. It could be one of those things that varies from person to person.

Anyway, I like a wedding day look of one set of earrings, and I think that if you take the second set out for a week or two prior to the wedding, the hole won''t look fresh or noticeable - certainly, you won''t be able to see the hole in pictures at all.

I have 3 holes plus 2 on my right cartilage. I wore one pair of earrings for our wedding to keep things simple and timeless. I still wear small & thin hoops in them now, but the holes are not noticeable when I take them out.

One per ear. Classier and classic! I dont think you want to be trendy in your wedding dress zoe. From what I''ve seen of your dress, it''s very classic...I''m thinking diamond studs or pearls...

I intend on wearing tiny diamond studs in my second holes, and a pretty drop earring in my first ones. But we are having a simple ceremony on the beach so its definitely not a formal thing.

It seems like a silly question but like I said, I''d rather be doing anything than school work. I think I''ll skip the second set of earrings. I only wear tiny diamond studs or a pair of gold studs (the kind you get when they first pierce your ears) anyway.

Harleigh, 2 weeks vacation??? You''re in FL, right? Wow! We have conferences next week, although I began them this week, and then we have a two day week before Thanksgiving break. I''d love to have two weeks instead of three days.

I think it varies from piercing to piercing for each person also! I''ve gotten 3 piercings in each earlobe and 1 cartlidge (all but the first set done with the gun). I let the cartlidge close up after a few months because it wasn''t healing right, but wore earrings in all the rest for years. I stopped wearing earrings in everything but the bottom holes once I graduated from college (I thought it looked more professional that way) and only one hole has closed completely. So, you never know if it will actually close or not.

I only wore earrings in the bottom holes for the wedding. I just think it looks more classic. You couldn''t even see my earrings in most of my pictures though since my hair was down.

I have two piercings, but rarely use the top hole anymore. I considered it a hassle to put posts in every day, and/or match them to the other earrings I was wearing. I can''t sleep in earrings, so basically my laziness dictated that I would skip the darn things more often than wear them. The holes are still there, but don''t really show. And no, I did not wear two pairs on THE day. As I get older, I think I look ridiculous following trends anyway.

Hi zoe,

Nope, I''m in California...we used to be year-round and are now modified traditional. So, over the years I''ve gone from 4 weeks off at a time, 3 weeks off at a time and now we''re down to two. I''m sure within the next few years it will be less time off during the year and more in the summer, but for now I''ll take what I can get!

My mom also teaches (and I use that term loosely!) and has the entire week of Thanksgiving off. I believe she also gets a 2 weeks at Christmas (same as me) and then 1 week for Spring Break when I have 2 off. However, she gets out a few weeks before I do and starts about 2 weeks later than we do.

I finished my Parent/Teacher conferences this afternoon and they all went great, so I will send some PS Fairy Dust that yours go awesome, too!
