One more piece on consignment at Grace's--a Carol Ackerman (Grace made a mistake saying "Cathy") sapphire and diamond ring that contains a 0.68 ct center sapphire bezel mounted in 18kt yellow gold with two small diamonds hammer set in the carved floral band. Size 6 and sizable. Asking $2230. It's a sweet ring, could be an affordable engagement ring, and those September birthdays will be coming up, or could be a good push present. Once again, I never wore the ring (there's kind of a pattern here...DH may be right in that I have way too much jewelry. Wait, there's no such thing, right?)

I saw that ring and wondered about the name. Its a beautiful ring, I love the richness of yellow gold with blue sapphs and I particularly like the satin finish on this ring. All around, its an amazing piece.

A friend had a springer spaniel who was incredibly smart, well trained with so many cool tricks, and just sweet and loving to boot. Great great breed.

See if the ring sells at the price you have it for; if for some reason it does not (and I can't imagine that) in 60 days then let's 'talk.'

ETA: Is the back of the band a plain gold shank? I'm thinking about sizing. I need this to be a 7, maybe a 7-1/4...It looks like the back of the shank is plain gold and all the detail/satin finish is up front.

Did Grace mention how much of a sizing she thinks this can take?

Azstonie--Grace said the back of the band is plain and that it could easily be resized up, but recommends an experienced bench jeweler.
