EFB6EFB8-CD52-4C04-BA41-DC621B0A62F6.jpegHello, do you think the double or single claw prongs work best for this 3ct diamond center setting? TIA

It’s a personal preference, but I think 3 carat is large enough for double prongs

I also prefer the double claws. They enhance the shape of the diamond.

Double.

Double. I chipped a corner of my emerald cut. Thankfully, it was buffed out without any carat loss. But I converted to double prong after that!

I vote for single claws..I’m just not a fan of double claws. I’m sure the double claws protect the diamond’s clipped corners better..I have a three stone emerald cut..but the center is 3.01…I have single claws..

I’m a sucker for the double prongs! I would definitely do those, or flat tab prongs if you want to bring out the cut corners.

First, I will say both are beautiful- i don't think you can go wrong. Second, although I love love double claw prongs, I prefer the single claw in this setting. Which are you leaning towards? Hope you go with what you love!

Usually, I would go for double claw but with emerald cut diamonds, I think the single claw is clean and crisp and enhances and compliments the cut of the stone and especially with the style of this ring.

Thanks! I’m leaning towards double to protect the stone. The diamond has wider angles and I’d hate to see it chip. I tend to change mind mind each hour though, haha.

Single...for the same reason I stated in your other thread

If you get double you might think about having them farther apart from each other.

I like the simple, clean lines of the single prongs on this setting

Another vote for single prongs for this setting. It’s your preference that matters.
