Opinions on this 10.43mm lab oec diamond

It has good potential. Have you seen it in person? It’s moving awfully fast, but I see a bit of a hint that all of the pavilion mains under the table turn “on
“ or “off” all at once which could lead it to be over dark under the table. It’s something you would need to assess in person or in better videos that gently tilt the diamond rather than flipping it so quickly.

Ask for a video with stone resting in back of hand between fingers with gentle movements and camera looking into face of diamond.

Btw you should hit “report concern” as ask for this to be moved to the lab diamonds forum so you get the right people commenting. Rocky Talky is for natural diamonds.

I would ask for lots of different videos in different backgrounds and lighting to assess. It does seem like all the petals go dark when viewed directly head on.

Also I just noticed you're in Canada. Otherwise I would have said to order it and return it if it's not pretty irl.

It’s still possible to do it. We pay sales taxes when we import but those can be refunded by submitting a form to Canada customs with proof of the return. It’s a hassle and shipping costs more but it’s not so much.

Oh good to know I didn't know that trick :)... being in Canada is limiting yes but this helps

Here is the form for a refund if you need it. Pretty easy, I’ve done it a few times.

The only issue with returning items is that it can be difficult to get insurance. Canada Post will only ensure up to $1000 and FedEx has a similar limit. If the item costs more than $1000 you might want to talk to your vendor about whether they would be able to send you an insured FedEx label in the event of a return. There is also the option of purchasing insurance from an independent shipping insurer. I did this a decade ago but not sure if the companies are still around. But insurance is the main challenge with returns from Canada.
