Hello,

I was considering going for this stone. I just had a couple questions. I think the depth looks good, but is the table to big on it? Also it scores a 1.6 on the HCA, but should I be looking for a different stone with not such a big table. Lastly, I have about another $500 in my budget that I can spend, Does anyone think I should use that money to try to get a better color, maybe upgrade it to a G?, or will that not really make any type of difference.

Thanks for all the help
1.11 ct H SI 1
depth 60.9
table 59
crown angle 34.5
pavillion angle 40.8
cert# 15174537
priced around 4,600

Hi Titans,

The table isn't too big, it is bigger than some prefer but in the scheme of things it is within acceptable limits. H is a sweet spot for many with colour, you could go for a G if you prefer but there probably wouldn't be much of a visual difference, if any. The diamond you posted has good angle ranges and should be a nice rock.

Thanks a lot, then this might be it, if he still has it.

I am just checking on one from whiteflash before I make final decision.

I like the amphora setting that they have
http://www.whiteflash.com/Engagement-Rings/Styles/Diamond-Settings/Amphora-Diamond-Engagement-Ring_1380.htm

im just not sure if it is going to be to big or bulky,

this is the style I am aiming towards, odviously minus the big blue diamond

The amphora does look like this I just dont know if there is to much going on with .7cts, my girlfriend has very very tiny hands and about a 4.5 ring size.

Also this diamond has range of stones from f-g, if i put an H center stone, will there a be a noticable difference in color?

Very pretty halo settings. Experts normally advise keeping within 2 colour grades for centre diamond and sidestones, so F/G should be fine with an H colour. Is that a WF diamond above? If so they can advise you on the suitability with the setting.

The about diamond isnt WF, thats from a jeweler who has a different, similiar setting that I really like,

I have been in contact with a salesman from Wf and he sent me two that he liked, he is just checking to gia certs and to see if they are available, he recomened two H SI1s, that are eye clean, and have an excellent cut.

I also asked him about the setting and asked for more pictures, hopefully he can come through. I would just have to spend all that money on that setting and get it and feel that it is going to be way to big looking. This is a very nerve racking experience, it makes it even more so when you have to go by a picture on a computer, not something you have seen in person.

Let us know what WF comes up with, however the first diamond is definitely still worth consideration.

Ditto Lorelei. The first stone looks like it could be a winner, but WF''s upgrade policy and the ability to get both the diamond and the setting from one place could win out.

Thanks for the input,
If i go with the stone listed above I am going to get a similiar setting to the WF one from the jeweler

What is the WF upgrade policy that you mentioned? I never heard of it.
