I am spending WAY too much money on pictures, we are getting an album but for some reason I want to frame a whole punch. My DH and I do not own a home and the ways things are looking ( in my area "shacks" are going for 300,00) we won''t have one for about a year. Does anyone have tons of wedding photo''s in a concentrated area or am I nuts? Our apartement may end up being a wedding shrine!!!!

It''s so funny you should bring that up...we bought our first house about 6 months after we got married and I put framed pictures everywhere in our tiny living room...on top of the piano, on both our end tables, on top of the t.v. armoire, etc. Finally my husband was like, uh some of these need to go. So I took half of them down and now they are in a box waiting for me to buy a collage-type frame to put them all in so I can hang it on a hallway wall. I just wanted to use all the frames we received as shower and wedding gifts, and I also wanted to display all our pictures! I think it''s pretty normal, but if you have a small house or apartment it does look a little like a wedding shrine! Maybe I will just try to change out the pictures every so often, that might keep things fresh without too much clutter.

My sister has a house, but what she does, she has done this in both of her homes, is she hangs a really narrow ledge on a wall near her entry way, and puts pictures up there She doesn''t have a lot of frames in other parts of her house, which is actually NICE for decorating purposes. She just has a whole bunch there, and then some in her kids bedrooms and stuff. My Fiance and I are totally copying. I never really thought about it.. but I am the type to want to frame a whole bunch of wedding pictures too..I can see how it could get out of control especially in an apartment.. Maybe in addition to your wedding album you should get one of those flipbook frames.. You know, its a frame with an album attached to the back? So that you can have them out for visitors to look at.. or for you to look through whenever you want, and then just have one or two framed around the apartment..

You were a beautiful bride!!

Your home should be full of such wonderful memories!!

Have fun and enjoy your shrine!!

It''s easy to get carried away with buying wedding photos & framing them. But you should leave room in your house/apartment for other pictures of your family through the years. The collage frames are fantastic. The ledge frames work too. If you do decide you want a lot of pictures, treat them like a collection and centralize them in one location. Also, putting all of them in similar style frames will help reduce the cluttering look (i.e. all silver frames, all dark wood, all black etc.)

Some of my friends have done really nice shadow boxes for their wedding. They put an invitation, a piece of the bridal dress or veil, wedding photos, ring photos, wedding program.. etc.in the shadow box. It traps a lot of mementos in one place & looks nice.

Another option, is to do one of the online Memory Books. They you have a coffee table book of your wedding so you can browse through photos all the time. You can print multiple copies so you can have a "good" copy you keep tucked away and a public copy.
