Well, we put the deposit down on our date on Tuesday! We are now officially getting married on November 3, 2007. We''re marrying at the Radisson Culver City, which is my hometown. I''m super excited, but had some not so good news yesterday (look at my Family and Home post, for the reason), so I didn''t post. I''m very excited about the day, since it''s my late Grandmother''s birthday, and she''s very special to me. It''s also two days past our current anniversary, and two days before my birthday. In a little nod to the past (we dated 9 years ago), we are getting married a full decade after we first met. Time flies, huh?

Here''s the room, I have yet to find a better pic of it...

Congratulations. Have you planned much yet?

I''m getting married Nov. 24th, 2007! Let the fun begin!

Oshinbreeze, well, since I''ve been planning even before the engagement (whoops!

), we just need to get the guest list down to 150, and we think we know what we''re doing invite-wise, our colors are picked, and we have two choices to decide for lunch. Our bridal party is set, but we just want to be sure of the ceremony. Our reception is going to be from 11a-4pm that day, which is a Saturday. I''m pretty sure of the favors, changed my mind AGAIN... Favors are probably (as of right now, in my brain

) going to be Sees raspberry truffles and their scotchmallow (dark chocolate covering marshmallow and caramel) which are our two favorite candies there. We''ve still to pick a photographer/band/DJ/officiant... But with more than a year to go, we''re on a roll! The table settings are picked, including napkin colors and sashs on the chairs. The flowers may be DIY, but the centerpieces will be non-floral. Or just little orchids here and there (my dad grows them). So that''s it! We''re lucky, as our reception venue gives us the linens, the food, the centerpiece stuff, the gazebo things, lights, all that. So we don''t have to look for a caterer, and the cake is included from the best bakery in L.A.!

Sweetpea, my second favorite flower, by the way (I wanted them for my bouquet to honor my grandma''s favorite flower, but was told they are hard to find in November

).. Thanks! We''re finally in the middle of too early, and too late to plan! yay us!

Congrats! The most crucial thing is taken care of and now you can get down to the nitty gritty details. You''ve got plenty of time too so you should be fine. Don''t delay though. Get started right away. The sooner you plan, the more time you have to deal with any problems that pop up.

~~Congrats!! I hope everything works out well for you!!!!

WOO HOO, Amber! Glad to hear the happy news.

CONGRATS! Looks and sounds like it will be a great wedding!

Thanks you guys! I am so excited- and I''m all about plans and everything! So far, I''m thinking that for centerpieces, I''m going to fill cylinders with marshmallows and candies, some those "lindt" lindor truffles, the red and gold ones (milk and white chocolates), and mix some red hots in with mini marshmallows! We''re big candy people, ya know? So, various glass containers with regular and mini marshmallows, candies and that kind of stuff. Ivory linens with burgundy napkins and chair sashes. Sooo excited!
