HUGE place. I looks very pretty!

are you planning on covering those chairs?

Wow, looks amazing! I like the first and last pictures the best. I also agree with cbs102... chairs need to be covered

I'm not speaking on behalf of Smurfy or anything, I have no idea what her budget is... but like at my venue, $10 to cover each chair can get quite expensive. In a room that big, you could be looking at upwards of thousands of $$$'s for chair coverings. Sorry, just thought it should be pointed out.

I think it would be great if you can cover them, but if you can't then I think they will be just fine. At least they don't fold!!

i really would like to do chair coverings, hopefully daddy wont mind ;-)
If he doesn''t want to pay for them though, I bet me and fi could pay for them, are they typically very expensive?

wow really! Actually they can section the whole ballroom into smaller spaces which is what I think we are doing but I really have no idea what my dad put a deposit down for. The whole ballroom can hold like 1000 people. Our guestlist at the very most will be 300 so I think we are renting a third of it (there are three giant chandeliers) A friend of mine did hers this way too at the same venue and it still looked very nice with the room divider (which they have decorated to match the wallpaper and molding on the wall which is very cool) :)

They can. (RE: my above post) Right now, I''m trying to decide if I really need them.

It should be in a contract with your venue. If they offer it, I''m sure they have a list that prices everything out for you. If they don''t, and you need to get an outside company, I would imagine you will find a bunch of different quotes.

Yup! We are getting them for our reception and compared to your guest count of 300 - our 120 looks teenie but the tab for just our chair covers and colored shashes is very close to $1K.

gah! maybe we will wait to see if our guest list dwindles which i know for a fact it will

thats crazy they cost so much where ya''ll live.. here in orlando you can get them for $2 a piece....and maybe .50 extra for the sash?? wowza!!

Hi Smurfy! That''s my reception location, too. The event coordinator there recommends a local chair cover company that charges $3.75 per chair (full cover and bow, including set-up and removal). She said it''s the lowest in the area although I haven''t confirmed that.

For chair covers I got two quotes, and they were both about 4.50 a chair, which included the sash and labor. You should shop around for companies that offer this to see what the pricing will be where you are having your reception.

smurfy,
sorry to have made this thread about chair covers..just thought that that burgendy would clash with the green...! that place is ginomous though! wow!

lovesparklies- thats so exciting that we have the same reception location! i bet it will look like 2 completely different places when we''re done with it :)

do you remember if the lady said if you could use another company for the chair covers?

I''m pretty sure you can bring in whatever vendors you want. I asked for a bunch of recommendations for different things so this was just the company she recommended for chair covers.
