Our Save the Dates

Yesterday, we went to the park with my brother to take a few pics for our Save the Date magnets. We had a lot of fun, goofed around and took some great pics (and my brother is not even an amateur photographer, so he did good!). Then J and I went wedding ring shopping and ordered our bands, which we should get in about a month.

I''ve been having some fun with Photoshop and made two versions for our STDs. The format I''m using is 4"X3". Tell me what you think, which one you prefer, and if someone would like to improve on them (like removing the lint on my T-shirt''s sleeves...

), they are more than welcome! I''m not much of a Photoshop expert.

I was going to say...I can''t see any lint on your shirt, but then again, I am half-blind, but they are small, so bigger might help!

I think I like the way it looks with the writing ON the picture, not outside of it...

Thanks Harleigh and indecisive... So I have one vote for no1 and one vote for no2... J likes no2 better, but I think I prefer no1... Ugh, decisions!

I like the readability of the text when it isn''t on the pic, but I think just in white around the photo won''t fill the magnet quite as well. What about cropping the photo a bit and doing something like this? (I just used powerpoint and then saved it all as an image - it''s not a great quality image.)

I really like ladyciel''s idea best...definitely go with the black outline with white writing...it looks a lot classier that way!

I think I just didn''t like the white border, so that''s why I chose the 2nd one! So, um, I guess I''m voting for #3!!!

and I also like ladyciel''s idea for the text, using version 1 with the black outline.

in version 2, it''s harder to read with it over the photo.

) so I''ll work on it.

We''re getting married August 2nd 2008, so 1 year and 3 days from now. We''ll be sending our magnets in December or January, but I wanted to get them done (as well as all the major booking and ordering stuff) before school starts again.

Totally agree with this.......it was harder to read when it was *in* the photo, but LOOOOOOOOOOOVE LadyC''s suggestion to border with black and put the writing there! Perfect solution!
