Hi Ladies!
We bought the bulk of our reception decorations this fall, as we are having a fall themed wedding, so it was seasonal stuff we needed. I have been meaning to upload pictures, and ask for your suggestions on further ideas to go with this theme (centerpieces, other decoartions, tuxes, and whatever else you guys can come up with)
So here goes (Ps. some of these pictures show how completely nuts I went with this (I have given up all laundry room storage, and a front hall closet to the cause )

Just for reference. the close up of the shelf is leaf bouquets (I made), and the top shelf in that pic is all candles that will be on each table (I have a fall scent obsession, spiced apple, caramel, and pumpkin spice) , and in the smaller closet is leaf garlands. And in the walmart bag... BUBBLES lol a little fun for everyone. also, attaching my fav. thing now. cute little leaf candy dishes for our dessert buffet (that is also what the little pumpkin dish is for)

And my dress that I'm head over heels in love with, and waiting on. (Arriving in a couple weeks according to bridal salon!) :appl:

Looks like you have a lot of fun stuff going on! I would love to see close-ups of your bouquets - they look really cool!

The dress is gorgeous - I looooove the sash! Are you thinking of putting your bridesmaids in brown? As for the men, I might do a light tan suit instead of a tux, but that'll depend on how formal you're going. If you're doing a classic black tux, I would suggest a color other than brown for the maids, but that's just a personal preference. Olive green would be really pretty for the maids, too.

For centerpieces, I think apples are nice in fall and are inexpensive! They can fill a clear container beautifully.

For wording on invitations or napkins or other paper goods, you could use the line "falling in love" and have a leaf imprint motif.

A really cute favor might be some mulling spices with instructions for mulled cider or wine, wrapped up and tied with a cinnamon stick.

Two things, though, if I may. First, I too love scented candles, especially those yummy fall scents. But -- they can be a distracting during dinner, particularly if you're using more than one scent. I would use them very sparingly and either only put them out with dessert or at least intersperse lightly with mostly non-scented candles.

Second, I'm on record as loving themes but to me they quickly go from charming to gimmicky. It looks like you're hitting the right notes right now - the bouquets, candy dishes, accented dress - but you don't want everything to be screaming "fall wedding!"

Sillyberry,
Thanks for the response. As for the candles, the thing is we are having late evening dessert buffet reception, no seated meal, as weird as that is. So I figured, like you, that with dessert it should be ok? I hope lol i dont want people to be overwhelmed by it, but all the scents coincide to something we're serving (Pies).
As for the bridesmaids I kind of have an idea, but I'm not sure how it will be in practice. It may be too much going on. I was thinking myself and the groom in brown detail, best man, MOH in burnt orange and then the 4 other girls/4other guys alternating between a deep deep red, and antique gold. It's a lot going on but the colours look really good together. I will see though, we are ordering the dresses on the 29th, so when I have them all together and wearing those colours, we'll see how it works out.

orrrrr should he be in white, and i have a white bouquet? .... too many choices :loopy:

Your dress choice is gorgeous! Something you could do for inspiration is look at decorating magazines and HGTV's website. They will have lots of ideas for you to keep your theme classy. :)
