First time poster, I have been lurking for a bit but still very uneducated. I am coming up on my 10 year anniversary and looking for an oval 5 or 7 stone band. While looking for bands I went down the diamond rabbit hole and now just want to make sure I am making a decent decision. My current wedding ring has a small marquise diamond and two side opals. Since it is opal, I do not wear it very often, though I love it, I am fearful of it being damaged. I am looking for a band to wear instead of my wedding ring. I am thinking 1.5 or 2 total cw. Below are three options I have been looking at. I know that James Allen and Blue Nile are recommended vendors, however, I have also seen bad reviews. I also want 14k yellow gold not 18k like the one on sale at Blue Nile. The other option I just found is on Etsy, which makes me wary but the specs (I think) look good. That band also has GIA certified diamonds, which I think is good but maybe not necessary? This seller also said they would make a 7 stone band .3 (that's a 3 pointer, right? I'm learning!) for each stone. I live in a relatively small town with only one local jeweler that would make a custom piece and I worry it may be over priced but they have not sent an estimate yet.
I know the round diamonds seem to be preferred here but I really just love the look of an oval band (north/south orientation), it really speaks to me. Any insight on the bands below or recommendations would be so very appreciated.
