Hi @StorminNorman72

We have a lab grown forum...I'll ask admin to move it for you.

As far as the cut on this stone, I find it to be ok. I think you can find better though. There are lots of threads
on ovals in this form if you do some searching you can find what to look for.

Here are some notes from another Oval thread. What you want to see as the stone turns is more nice facets light up going towards
the longer ends. Yours has a minimal amount of facets lighting up as the stone turns.

The areas in blue mark where there is good light return (through the center). The areas with red lines is where I like
to see more good facets show up as the stone turns. By good facets I mean distinct facets that are returning light well.
(this is your stone below that I've marked up) I dont think its a bad stone. Wait till you see it in person. If its sparkling
enough for you and you like the look...that's great!

Watch these stones as they turn. You'll see more "good" facets show up as the stone moves. You want to maximize the
"good" facets and minimize the "mushy" areas. I'm not saying these stones are perfect but watch the facets light up.

Thanks, tyty333. I shall look out for any further comments in the lab grown forum.
I see the point you are making. I will look at other stones based on your comments but to help in that could you clear up one thing for me; On my stone do the North /south head facets "light up" as you say they should or are they too dark. I am confused with if I am looking at good facets that light up at the ends or just poor light return with no sparkle in this area?

Here is the stone you posted. As the stone turns (like it is turned here), you should have more nice facets light up in the yellow area.

I'm not saying these are perfect ovals but see how the center lights up as the stones rotate?
