As suggested by Chrono, I've began a new thread with details of and a picture of my new ring. I had questioned if anyone had ever heard of a garnet listed as "padparadscha color" before. It's not the greatest picture but it gives you an idea. It's 1.57 Mahenge garnet round, 0.51 ctw. Diamond, 14K white gold 2.84 gr.

It's really blurry. Do you have a zoom feature?

Jeff at Earth’s Treasury sometimes uses the word “padpardscha” in the description of his orangey-pink mahenge garnets. The image below shows an example of a current listing

The term Mahenge refers to the location where they garnets were mined. That is near Mahege Ward, Ulanga District in the Morogoro Region of Tanzania. I lived close to that district in Tanzania so I just love typing those familiar words. Lol

If you can take a better picture of your ring we would love to see it. What does the color look like to you?

Yes, there are padparadcha colored garnets, as well as spinels. They’re a more affordable option to the real thing. Some spinels are dead ringers for true padparadcha sapphires.

I hope you get better pics.

Yes, would love to see some clearer pics!

Do look at spinels as well. There are some really good imitation pad spinels.

This is mine and I think it's fairly close to the real thing minus the price tag.
