Hey woman...I thought I'd best catch you over here...

It seems I might be having an overnight layover in London on June 7th...Any chance you'd be around and up for dinner or drinks? I should be upfront with you and in the interest of full disclosure, my Precious will not be with me...Whaddya think?

Pandora, alternatively, if you are unable to meet, can you recommend a nice dinner place in London on a Sat. night? I''ll be coming off an assignment and wouldn''t mind a little excuse for a night out but I''ve only ever spent my London transit time in hotels sleeping so I''ve no idea what the options are. If you know of any cool restaurants where one could go alone and not feel weird, I''d welcome any suggestions! Thank you!

Sorry, missed this one.

I am so definitely up for that. I'm in London that weekend and would love to meet up for dinner.

Let me know the sort of thing you like and I'll book somewhere. Do you have a rough idea of where you are staying?

Yay!

(wise move not bringing the precious... you might never make your onward flight

Excellent! I didn't think about you absconding with Precious...you're crafty little bugger...

I'm coming in from Zambia so I dont even think I'll be having my antique wedding band with me...I wish I could bring my ring so we could plot the faceting together. Another time, perhaps...

Any chance you can do a show and tell with your gem box?

I'll be arriving into Heathrow about 6:00pm and I'm booked into The Radisson Edwardian at 140 Bath Road. I've stayed there before and I remember the shuttle buses to take you there aren't the fastest so perhaps I'll just take a cab to get there faster. I figure by the time I clear customs and collect my bags it'll be at least 7:00pm, another hour to the hotel - does that timing sound realistic? Is it getting too late in the evening for you?

As for where to go, I'm not sure if there are any options in the hotel's area (Hayes?) or not. I love Italian or anything Thai or Indian...I dont eat a lot of meat so...Anyway, think about it and as the time nears we can firm up a gameplan. Yeah!

Couldn''t possibly abscond - PS members would be hunting me down, there''s no country I''d be safe in

I''ll bring the rocks - my new baby arrived today. 4.35ct Royal Rhodolite, it''s amazing, but is going to be hard to photograph (weird colour-change like effect magenta to blue/violet

).

I''ll look into restaurants, it''s not an area I know, but I''m sure I''ll find a colleague who does! There is never a time that is too late for me, I''m an evening person and am allergic to mornings.

Heathrow is pretty easy for me as transport links are great (I don''t drive as I live in zone 1).

Really looking forward to meeting you!

As a colored stone maven, are there any colored stones I should keep an eye out for while in Zambia? I know they have tons of malachite...Do you want any? One practically trips over the stuff there. I think they have lapis there as well but I dont know about any semi-precious bling...do you know of any?
