I have only conversed or replied to some of your posts once in a while, but I do recall that your FF was stationed abroad for quite a while. I don''t know if he is still gone or not, but I am going through the similar situation, and would love someone to talk to about it.

I think there was a thread about this at some point....or maybe just a lot of talk about this in a long distance relationship thread.

I''ve been in a similar situation, much of my relationship with BF has been long distance because of his work with the Air force. It''s not fun and it will really challange and stress your relationship but, like others have said, if you can make it though a long distance relationship and still want to be together, you can make it through anything.

There are a few of us with loved ones in the military. My hubby returned in December from a 15 month deployment to the Middle East. We are facing another 12 month deployment next spring

There are several online forums available for spouses, gf's, fi's etc. Let me know if you'd like some links!

ImpatientOne: I am sorry that your hubby is going abroad again, that sucks. Thank goodness mine is not gone 15 months, b/c I think I might have lost it, since my hubby left 3 weeks after our wedding and honeymoon. May I ask how many times he has been gone and if you have been married the whole time he has been gone. I think it''s just more difficult for me because we lived together already before marrying, so its almost like we are going in reverse, lol.

Anywho, I would like the website addresses for those forums, if you don''t mind.

My husband has deployed twice so far, but only once (for 15 months) since we''ve been married. He left less than 6 months after we were married. Here''s a few links for you!

you girls waiting on servicemen are so strong. my bf is just a couple states away, perfectly safe, and i can barely stand it.
