Pairing platinum with a yellow gold band. 14, 18, 22k

I have a platinum solitaire coming this week and I’d love to pair it with a yellow gold band. I’d prefer 22k. I could have sworn I saw a thread where someone had mentioned their 22k or possibly 24k band wearing down and staining their platinum. What would be the safest all around for both rings? 18, 22, 24? I have a 14k I can pair to but prefer a richer gold.

18K yellow will rub off a lot less than those higher carats.
If you work in a chem lab you can always remove the gold with hot aqua-rega (nitric and hydrochloric acid) which should not bother most platinum allows.

Yes, that was my thread and @Tourmaline had a beautiful 24k band that they said was rubbing off onto the platinum.
I really loved the look of the 24k and was considering getting a tiny 1mm band from the etsy seller Tourmaline mentioned, but my platinum wedding band has engraving which I think would cut into the gold even more. So, undecided.

The gold bands are textured anyway, and it doesn’t hurt them.

Yes, very easily with a polishing cloth.

I would get the 1.5mm but it's significantly more expensive.

Why not have them soldered to the platinum band then. I was thinking 2mm would be a train wreck!
