Paraiba Tourmaline in New Home!

Oooooooooh I'm so in lurve I can't tell you!

I originally bought this Paraiba Tourmaline in the worst setting imaginable! I always knew I would have it re-set and just recently went on a mission to set/re-set some of my existing pieces rather than buy more gems!

This is a certified copper bearing 2.44ct Paraiba Tourmaline and its new setting is an LOGR one. I lusted after it for ages and was sooooooo worried that the diamonds would be bleurgh but OMG they're gorgeous!

That stone has a nice color and size. It looks more contemporary in its current setting. But I like it in its yellow gold setting though, the double claws and gold color look 'richer'

Wow, no apologies needed. While I think it looks great in yellow gold, the diamonds really add a lot of pizzazz to it too. This is one stone where I think it’ll look great in just about anything.

Arc / Lovingems- I'm very impressed with this setting. For some reason I had expected it to be a really substantial piece (heavy, large etc) but actually it's not, it's just the right size/weight etc. I'm not disappointed in the slightest and any bigger may have been a bit too ostentatious for my liking! I didn't upgrade the diamonds (and was very nervous about it) but as you can see the diamonds are gorgeous. Highly recommended.

Cind11 - Glad I could tempt you to post again! I was taking photos by my swimming pool and was really struck by the likeness in colour so I totally agree with you!

Uppy - I'm so sorry but PT has said she'd like to stay in rainy ole Britain for now but if you're ever visiting over the pond she would love you to visit!
