I''m having a summer wedding and FI and I are having pictures taken on the beach at about 3:30 in the afternoon before our ceremony at 5pm. I was thinking a parasol would not only look pretty but also be quite functional and keep me from getting a sunburn or getting more hot than I may already be. I am seeing some pretty broad price ranges and it got me wondering about the quality of these things. Specifically, if I spent $10 bucks, would it even be useful against the sun for the day? (Or at least a couple hours?) Do paper-style parasols even work? Do they look okay in pictures?
I love the lace ones I''m seeing but most are pricey and I don''t think lace goes with our wedding very well. I don''t need this thing to be a keepsake or anything (although I imagine I''d keep it until it just had to be tossed) so I''m looking for reviews of inexpensive fabric or paper parasols, that aren''t lacey, that look pretty but are functional. Any ideas?
