Hello, my question is strictly out of curiosity. I’m just trying to understand how folks who have engagement rings with diamonds on the inside of the shank, like the one in this photo, wear a wedding band with this style of ring. Or can a wedding band
NOT be worn with this style ring? (Of course I don’t mean that literally. I understand anybody can wear whatever rings they like.) What I mean is, wouldn’t ANY style wedding band cover the diamonds on the inside of the shank? And wouldn’t ANY style wedding band damage the stones on the inside the shank? Again, this is strictly out of curiosity and with all due respect, I’m not seeking advice. I’m simply asking how IMG_0407.jpegone would wear a ring of this style with a wedding band, assuming one DOES wear a wedding band with this style. As always, thank you for reading my post.

This is my E-Ring profile, and my E-Ring with my stacked Wedding band and Anniversary Band:IMG_1864.jpegIMG_1865.jpeg

Matthews1127, you have a lovely set. So when you have your other two rings on, in addition to your engagement ring, I am assuming the diamonds on the side of your engagement ring shank are not visible? And are they not damaged by the ring closest to it?

The one side that faces my other bands is hidden; the collar is visible at all times. The side that faces out displays the diamonds along the shank. There is a v-curve in the band where the diamonds are along the band (on both sides) that angle the diamonds away from the bands, but it’s so slight that it doesn’t interfere with the way the rings sit against each other.
I wore my E-Ring and my wedding band against each other for our first year of marriage. I have been wearing my Anniversary band since our 1 year anniversary. We’ve been married 8 years, and none of my rings are worn or damaged from any rubbing. I had 1 loose diamond along the shank in 8 years. I have them inspected regularly, and have never had any major issues.
Both sides of both rings: no signs of damage, wear or rubbing:
