I was wondering if any brides can help me out with a dress question. I''ve tried on several gowns and realized that I''m in love with Lazaro''s dresses. However, I was kind of embarrassed to ask this to my bridal consultant.... When you purchase a more expensive gown like this, how does payment work? Do I have to pay for it in full when I order it, or when it comes in?

Hello there! I don''t know about your salon specifically, so you will have to ask, but in general I would say that they take a certain percentage then as a deposit and then the rest is due when it comes in before they will alter it or you can take it out of the store. Hope that helps!

Hi Yellow Tail! Welcome to PS! When I ordered my dress, we had to put down some amount of money as a downpayment. When it arrived and we were ready to pick it up, we paid the rest in full. It still needs to be altered but the salon doesn''t do alterations.

Some stores may not advertise this, but they may work out some sort of payment plan if you ask. I don''t see why this would be a problem. You just might need to ask if they''ll do it. I think most places try to be accomodating since you''re spending potentially thousands on a dress and/or accessories.

My gown was $3200 and I paid $1600 the day that I chose to buy it, and I''ll pay the remaining $1600 when the gown comes in.
