pearl drop jackets?

Hi everyone-does anyone know where I could find pearl earring jackets (the drop kind...)? Any links would be really useful thanks!

I'm not exactly sure but I'm pretty sure you could contact PP and they could make them for you. I thought someone did that a long time ago.

well I finally got these made! PP was much cheaper than going with someone else so I am so glad I contacted them. Here is a quick iphone photo but I will take more photos tonight. I also got a matching necklace

sure! there is a little ring that you slip onto the stud.

and here is a pic of the necklace...I think I will take it to a local jeweler to get a smaller jump ring in the middle (I did not specify how large it should be but hopefully this is an easy fix and not too $$)




anyway, PP totally went above and beyond for this project!! I had purchased the pearls a while ago and contacted them about making the jewelry. I sent the pearls back and a rep from PP said that the holes were not perfectly symmetric (apparently it is harder to drill drop shaped pearls) so they offered to get me a new set on them. Also, they did not have a pearl cap in stock that would work for the drop shaped pearls and they were able to find one (that I liked much better than the plain one on their website!) at the same cost. I sent them drawings and specified lengths and they communicated with me to ensure that it came out to my specifications. The cost was totally reasonable and the turnaround time was fast.

just a thought.....if you are changing out the jump ring on the necklace anyway why not replace it with another little bezel set diamond to really match the earrings the more the merrier with diamonds I think is the PS way.

I totally agree! I bet Whiteflash could do a diamond where that jump ring is on the necklace for a very reasonable price and the whole set would be amazing!

that was the plan but not sure if it is in budget...am going to check on how much it would be though.

Mine are 1.25" total length but I think 1.5" total might be better since I didn't account for the length from the post to the earlobe (if that makes sense...since my posts are in the middle of my ears). The jump ring on the top is 0.2 mm. If you want any more information about them or more pics please ask!

Hi SCDP! I think you would be fine with either this length or slightly longer (perhaps 1.5" total). It just depends on where you want the earrings to fall. Perhaps measure (but include the area from the bottom of your ear lobe to the hole in your measurement because that is where the earring will start!)

I got the 7.0-8.0 mm loose white freshwater drop pearl ($15) but I am sure they could make these with round pearls if you prefer. If you get the drop pearls, they will need to get different pearl caps to fit the drop shape.

I should get my bridal pictures in a few days so I can try to post some more pictures if that would be helpful. I would just take a pic now but they are at my mom's house so I don't wear them before the wedding

chel - I used a gift certificate that a local jeweler sent me to get the jump ring made smaller and the necklace made a little shorter. I think it looks much better now!
