I just wanted to tell everyone that I got some inexpensive black pearls for fun from overstock. I wasn''t expecting super high quality since the price was 40 bucks and the list price was 195 (not sure how accurate those really are though
), but I was pleasantly surprised.
The description says the range of colors will be bluish black to peacock green... that wasn''t entirely correct for mine, they actually have quite a big range... some have a pinkish tinge... but I find that actually makes them more unique and I really like that look (I know it is not what most people are striving for with pearls, but for a fun less expensive necklace it does the trick!).
It is pretty and unique looking with the range of colors, although the picture depicted on their website was not entirely accurate for my particular necklace (in the picture the colors are definitely more consistently blusih black).
I do wish that some of the pearls were just slightly more alike size wise, but overall I am very picky and notice inconsistencies like that... and most people probably wouldn''t notice the size isn''t exact for each pearl (I think the range is 6.5 -7 MM). Not sure how hard it is (or how expensive) to find pearls that are exact size matches.

Not as smooth....the pearls are not totally round in all cases so I am not sure I am as excited as initially I was. The colors of the pearls don''t photograph well at all so I can''t really show you how the colors appear, some are pinkish in tone and cool looking but it doesn''t photograph, others are a very pretty greenish/bluish. still think the colors are pretty cool though
