LT: https://loupetroop.com/listings/earrings/pearls-sea-of-cortez-baroque-dangly-earrings
Worn exactly twice - once for photos and once out to dinner shortly after I got them. I love pearls, and I adore my SOC bracelet, but I only ever wear pearl earrings that are studs or Hisano’s sliced styles.
I purchased direct from the farm. Both pearls graded Gem+, NS; they’re smooth-skinned and blemish-free baroques. The farm did the drilling and mounting.
The farm prices according to size, body tone, brightness of colour, and surface. All the earrings on the website right now are lighter-bodied and less colourful - this pair posted on IG is the closest I can find.
This is actually the pair I originally shortlisted, but I wasn't ready to buy when I first saw them, and they sold pretty quickly. When I was ready to buy I asked the farm to find me a pair that was just as colourful as those, and my pair was my rep's top recommendation These are really beautiful SoC specimens.
14k WG, plated. The diamonds are clear, white, and sparkly. Pearls are 8.4x9.9mm & 8.7x9.8mm, and total earring length is 2inches.
In the closeup you can see that the farm's mounting work isn't the neatest. Honestly, most of their mounting work looks like this, it just isn't the neatest. This isn't noticeable at all IRL from any normal viewing distance, and if it's overly bothersome it'd be an easy fix for your local jeweller - just soak the posts off and reglue.

Pricing for Cortez pearls has increased pretty dramatically the past few years. I bought in 2020 and received a small loyalty discount on their internal pricing, and have priced my pair accordingly.
The pair below was my inspiration and my pearls are of commensurate quality.
My price: $X F&F or Zelle for PSers. I'll also take personal cheques from PSers I know (I'll ship once it clears). I will cover tracked and insured shipping within the US.
For payment via PayPal Goods & Services, the buyer will be responsible for both PP fee and income tax dollar value - total of ~30% on top of my F&F ask. The reason for this is that PayPal is now sending 1099s for all Goods & Services purchases. Technically if you sell something at a loss you won't owe any income tax (and if you sell at a profit you owe only on the difference between what you paid and what you sold for), but my relationship with the farm is very casual and my "invoice" was a blank payment link with no information about me or what I was buying - certainly nothing the IRS will accept as proof of initial spend. So if I sell via G&S I'll owe income tax on the entirety of this sale and I obviously don't want to take that loss out of pocket

A dreamscape from Sea of Cortez and Hisano Shepherd
This is a very bad instinct for natural pearls - you'd never be done. I might not be a collector, through years of playing with pearls for free [no limit...], all I could think about was which one would I keep at the end; there was no End - I found a new field to dig myself in instead & the...
